Both men and women should not be silenced from speaking their truths. I don't understand why it is normal to shame people who are hurting. In a functional society Tonto should have had institutions assist her to deal with whatever emotional pains she is going through instead of people labelling her with all sorts. People who do drugs or crimes also change at some point in their lives. I read issues here and I do not judge people who I don't know or feel what they feel. First, i try to put myself in someone's situation to know how I would feel. We should not all have an opinion about everything that has to do with others if we are not in their shoes. Empathy goes a long way for people who are going through a lot of challenges in their lives. People of all categories read this blog and the comment from some of the visitors are reflections of the level of empathy of an average Nigerian. Often, I imagine how people can comfortably ascribe madness with other derogatory words to someone who has not directly offended them. No one has the right to the approach someone is using to deal with her problems so far as it does not affect you.
DeleteI reflect on Tonto's situation and all I can think of is the failure of the government to put in place institutions to support men and women post-separation/divorce. People have different ways to deal with the effects of divorce. Behaviours emanating from such effects may not necessarily be a reflection of who they are. The world would be safer if we show a little empathy to someone whether you think they deserve or not.

Everyone shouting "Tonto should keep quiet..Tonto should keep quiet". This is a guy, whose source of "wealth" is 100% questionable, and the security operatives are looking the other-way. I think Tonto actually 'moved-on' for a while, was really into her foundation, 'motivational-speaking..and all that...BUT Churchill and his gang wouldn't let her be. Granting interviews upandan, releasing footage of their alleged fight, craftily turned almost every one in Tonto's life against her. Even his then side-chick would shade Tonto...and she was calm. Una so-called Actors guild didn't see all that..to cautionoooo. Like what the heck?
Churchhill met her already famous...but through his actions, he would rather take everything from her, after she left him. This, to me, is one of the signs of a vindictive/wicked human being.
Like a house-rat, he would bite and blow-off...so that you wouldn't feel the pain. Then when Tonto responds the best way she knows how-to, all hell is let loose.
