TVC's Your View Host Morayo Afolabi Brown Quits To Attend To Motherhood...

Delectable TVC's 'Your View' host Morayo Afolabi Brown has stepped down as Deputy director of News because she wants to spend more time with her family......

The Mother of 4 Kids will however still host 'your view' every Morning at 9am -10:am from Monday through Friday with co hosts Oby,Tope,Mariam,Yeni Kuti and Nyma....

Morayo made headline News last year when she made a very sensitive comment about child abuse and her hubby Femi on the show and had to do him a public apology after she was severely called out on the Internet comment section of most Blogs...

Lets give her a standing applause because it is NOT EASY combining Motherhood and family life with a very active day Job like the one Morayo is quitting....
All women are Super women indeed!

Well done Morayo, the decision will not be regretted because Motherhood rocks!

  1. It's admirable. Sometimes I feel bad that women have to give up so much.

    1. Admirable fire! Save your admiration for women who balance career and motherhood.
Lets stop this nonsense of applauding and supporting tha women should give up themselves and what gives them fulfiment Purley for motherhood. Even in the villages, women stil trap their babies to their backs and go to the farms and market. Men never quit career for fatherhood.
This is the kind of idea you ppl promote that leaves women frustrated and unfulfilled after the kids leave home. We should applaud balance. You remember Sarah Palin? That is why marriage shouldnt be for everyone. Fine a path to self actualization and dont give it up for anything. You come first and your sanity and dignity should not be sacrificed for anything or anyone.
Being a balance woman is about giving and taking. Not giving alone!

    3. @ sapphire a woman will always be a woman.. If she feels she has worked long enough to 'retire ' to be with her family, then let her be. She took a very bold and applaudable step. It's really not easy for a woman to combine a time demanding job and family. one will surely suffer, its left for her to choose which is more important .

    4. Sapphire it's obvious u are not a mother but if u are, then I can't imagine the kind you are.

U said women shouldn't give up their career for motherhood, if u were a mother, will know that there's NOTHING you can't give up for your kids, not even your life...nothing is spared. Please, this lady did the right and Best thing for her.

No matter how u look at it, this life would be a better place if women had more time for motherhood. U are comparing with the ancient women that backed their babies and went to the farm, and haven't u seen or noticed that at least, those women were with their kids? They normally go to farm with the kids, they eat there, she is there to look after them, if any of them is hurt she would know. But nowadays that women's work require not coming with babies, women are expected to be back to work within 2-3 months post partum, there is preaching for women to do exclusive breastfeeding, how would they do that when they are expected back to work immediately, most companies do not have day care facilities so women keep their kids in day care far from where they work, all these take its toll on the woman, her family and motherhood in general. So Sapphire, try to be more understanding and understand when the woman needs to take a bow.

    5. @ Sapphire... This your tirade no be am at all.
A woman should be free to do what a woman wants to do. Anywhere in the world, people take time off work for years to raise their kids, both men and women... As long as the family has enough money to tide them over that period. And Whenever morayo feels like going back to work, I'm sure she will not find it difficult getting new job with her job experience.
So, all in all, she has made the decision she thinks is best for her and her family, not for anyone else.

    7. Well...i am a mother. All i am saying is let us encourage balance. A womans life matter too. Her self actualization, her health, happiness. If staying home satisfies a woman as such that she wont feel she has lost out or sacrifced too much later in life then so be it. At the end of the day its about you.

I cant imagine my life without my children and truth be told, i cant imagine my life without my carrer. If one is to be taken from me i will be sad. If i give up my career for my children i will turn out a bitter unhappy and unresoursful mother. And if i give up children for my career i will be empty and my drive will die.
So all i am saying is lets applaud women who achieve balance.

    8. Saphire you are toxic and have issues. No one asked about you and your career. Stella was encouraging a woman that took a decision that was probably difficult for her and you entered with your toxicity. You're obviously desperate to prove a point but no one cares nor is anyone checking for you so please have several seats.

    9. But @Saphire has a point. Better Work-Life Balance is embraced in more developed countries. Now they stepped it up to Work - Life Integration. So people can actually be logged in while at home, make breakfast for the kids, take conference calls, log on to their mails be at home when kids get back from school and so on and log of at exactly 5pm. My BIL works for a multinational and does that on days he cant make it to work for any reason. Even my ex used to do it too!! As long as you have worked with the company long enough to know your onions, exceptions can be made in accordance with life changes. My friend in UK got 9 months maternity leave with pay, after she gave birth. By the time she resumed work she sef was tired of baby's face small. So.... yes, good organizations should encourage that balance so they dont lose competent employees. In developed countries, some even hire two mums for one role on part-time basis and split pay. Each person works 4 hours a day, depending on their schedule. And they develop their work plans together so everything is fluid.

In such scenarios, employees would only resign when all efforts to balance and integrate have failed. (Which may be the case here, anyway) cos children are expensive still (lol) and they will leave you one day too.

  15. I think is still not comfortable for her leaving her daughter in the hands of her husband that is the reason why she is quitting so as to take full control of her daughter. I might be wrong though.

    3. This Blessed Princess has to be qurantined on this blog so she doesn't spread her senselessness. SDK you need to get her bio especially the name of her village and family so that Nigerian men can take note not to marry from them so as not to multiply people like her.

  19. You all need to think this deep...
I kinda suspect the statement she made about hubby is still the cause.
Just covering the fire with this yeye smoke. cos ideally she doesnt look like someone that will just drop her career and position just like that.
