Prince from hell
ReplyDeleteThe Prince had no idea of the pain the poor mermaid was going through and she couldn't talk too. The Prince thought he rescued her from the storm. He already had someone else he wanted to marry, which he did. Pls try abd read the original story by Christopher Hans Andersen to understand better.
DeleteI am sure it was rewritten because of sad suicide ending so not to teach children suicide was a means to end a problem.

True @ fairy tales having dark origins. In Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Snow White was said to have been raped by all seven dwarfs in the original version.
