Pastor Adeboye Reacts To Recent Protest At RCCG Headquarters

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has said that the fact that he is quiet, does not mean he is silent on national issues.

Adeboye, in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the church, Olaitan Olubiyi, explained that there are different ways of responding to issues affecting the country.

The revered cleric was reacting to a protest staged at the Redemption Camp on Monday.

Charlyboy, Eederis Abdulkareem, etc. are some of those who marched in protest, accusing Adeboye of being silent on insecurity in Nigeria but Adeboye made it clear that he is committed to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), who are mandated to speak on issues affecting the church and the nation.

“The aforementioned Christian bodies had spoken on the issues of kidnapping, killing of Christians, herdsmen attacks and general insecurity in Nigeria and his position and that of the RCCG was not different from their expressed views.

“Adeboye who said that, to be quiet does not mean that you are silent, disclosed that he had made his views on the issues known to all the relevant authorities. He declared that very soon, Nigerians shall see that God answers prayers. He enjoined all to remain calm and maintain the peace.

“The RCCG leader had always called the congregation to prayers against kidnapping, bloodshed and general insecurity at the monthly all-night Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption Camp.

“Pastor Adeboye led the congregation in supplication for God’s mercy on Nigeria after speaking on the negative consequences of bloodshed and inhumanity,” the statement read.

    1. Did you employ him? Did you call him? Is he answerable to you? Does he work by your expectations of him? Have you ever heard ISIS killings in Arab pinned on the Pastors there? SMH

    2. As much as I don't believe all his preaching, I don't condone bullying pastors either. Pastor E.A Adeboye is a PRIVATE CITIZEN, much like you or I. He has built himself to be recognized nationally by building up people, some of who became public servants, politicians etc does not change this fact. Osibanjo is a govt official, accountable to Nigerians, Adeboye is NOT A GOVT OFFICIAL!

  2. Again why didn't you allow only CAN to preach about tithe and offerings?

    1. You have conditioned your ears and mind to only hear and conceive the tithe and offering part of his preachings. Be liberal in your thinking.

    4. Just as you are a begger. And an unrepentant one at that. That is also how you are stupid. You expect redeem members to help your silly ass on this blog yet you can't caution your thoughts. A silly begger I call you.

    2. But he can go to villa to shake hands, wine and dine with bubu and the cabal with out asking for more govt efforts for the release of Christian leah saribu in captivity. He cannot talk of the menace of herdsmen and the fulanisatiin and islamisation , snatching of lands and killing of Christian Southerners and middle belt most minorities

  4. In as much as I don't agree with Adeboye's silence in Buhari's jihad government and being a spiritual father to a VP who is a sellout,Edris is a Muslim and he has no right participate in this protest!
He should go and protest against an Imam for also being silent!
Muslims would never condemn their own so Christians should be wise!

    1. Veteran, but since the Christians aren't showing sign of seriousness to protest for what is right, would you blame someone who volunteered himself to do that?

    2. Did Osinbajo tell him he won't perform?
Was he suppose to support somebody else aside his member and staff? Wouldn't you still come here and call him wicked for not supporting his own?

  6. Pst. Adeboye is a hypocrist and no apology for saying so. In 11th October 2010, it was the same Pst Enoch Adeboye that called for one million march protest after collecting signatories for the spate of killings and kidnapping going on under Jonathan's administration. Google is your friend to get that news if you doubt what I just said. I want to ask this minute, what have change now in this government for him to go mute? Pst Oyedepo and Apostle Suleiman have been shouting on this tyrannical rule. Where is the voice of Adeboye? Why hasn't he organize another round of one million march protest for the release of Leah or the Fulani invasion of people's community, killing and raping them? Is it because one of his own is serving as a vice president? I am so disappointed at him truth be told.

    3. Thanks @Teejay. Now he is waiting for CAN abi ICAN to comment. This here is the true meaning of double standard

    4. Even if you don't respect his age as an elder, respect his anointing as a man of God. You boldly called him a hypocrite?

    5. TEEJAY. Stop and think for a moment, isn't Eedris a muslim? why didn't he stage a protest at a mosque or against Imams and sheiks - whose religion seems to be the bedrock of this confusion?.. stop being thoughtless! However, this is an attack against humanity and I believe that EVERYBODY should speak out!

      Delete
    6. @HighlyFavoured, sugarcoating of words is the sole reason we are were we are at the moment. It's time we say things the way they are not minding whose ox is gored. What anointing do you talked about that makes a man behaves in a double standard way? Elijah will be provoked or ashamed seeing what today's minister have become under government. Didn't Elijah challenged Ahab and Jezebel? Why do you think Elijah was called troubler of Israel? He never compromise his prophetical calling like today's pastors are doing.

    7. Anon 13:01 it's a Nigerian problem whether Muslim or Christian, that's not necessary. Since Christians don't want to protest, let a Muslim do it for them.

Take a look at this your line "However, this is an attack against humanity and I believe that EVERYBODY should speak out!"

With this submission of yours, don't you think Eedris qualified with the 'EVERYBODY' you mentioned above?

      Delete
    8. It's a Nigerian problem, we know. However, it's necessary to note that the President is a Muslim, 98% of top Federal Government officials are Muslim and even worse the perpetrators of this crimes against humanity such as the intended RUGA, boko Haram and herdsmen menace are ALL Muslim. These are the major challenges in Nigeria at the moment. The best individuals Eedris should have protested against should have been Imams, Sheikhs, Islamic tutors and scholars who have been relatively silent as regards the pressing issues in Nigeria. If the men begin to lend their voice(s) to the right course, Nigeria would be the better for it.

...is that even possible? them never ready to die

    9. Teejay it's obvious you are pained for the lost of your Jona to Buhari since 2015 so every opportunity you have you mention it. Pastor Adeboye didn't force Nigerians the first and second time so if people have anything to settle with PMB go to Aso rock and not redemption camp. Not a soul was brought back by Jonathan among the Chibok girls kidnapped yet he is your hero, the fact Leah is not released yet doesn't mean PMB has stop search and negotiation for her.

  8. @BLESSED PRINCESS,read your bible it tithe and offerings is in the bible. Check Malachi 3:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.

“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’

“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Stop questioning Pastor Adeboye but rather read your bible for selling your ignorance to the bible.

    1. If that is the only place you read about tithe in the bible, then you don't even know your bible. If you have bible center reference or concordance, see other chapters and bible verses on tithing to have more knowledge of tithe and offerings. Bible reader,. Every time Malachi, Malachi, because that one suits them, so they hammer on it everyday to get it into your brain without touching other chapters that will not favour them. Get knowledge and you will grow.

  9. read your bible on the laws of tithes and offerings... its in Deuteronomy... then you will find out if these tithes are done the right way

  10. Free this man of God biko.
Is he suppose to take laws into his hands?
And is he suppose to do and say what the masses say or what God says.
That was how the children of Isreal pushed Moses until he missed the promised land.
Allow the old man enjoy his old age in peace. He is not the president of CAN or PFN and preaches and says what God asked him to at all times.

This is Billy and outrightly disrespectful.
Take your protest to Aso Rock or file a case against the president.
Leave the Man of God alone.
You didn't call him, he is not your spoke person and he is not answerable to you.

  11. Blessing and teejay you don't fear God why are you put the blame on the man of God. What we all need to do is to be praying for our country, which I think the man of God is doing. After all if you read your Bible all this will not new to you. Don't be deceive this is the sign of end time read Matthew 24 from verse 1. Jesus also said I don't pray for the world but for his own. Be careful.

    1. Wasn't he praying when he organized the one million man match protest under Jonathan's administration? Is he afraid to try it under this administration? Or was it cos Jonathan was gentle and quiet? Truth is that he ought to have double the number now to three million, for we have gotten triple worse than Jonathan's administration with us at the moment.

When we want to speak, some brainwashed guilible Christians will come up with the "touch not my anointed" thingy. Who then isn't God's anointed? That statement is the sole reason many of you defenders of these con men in the guise of ministers are allowed to go scot free when they commit crimes. They aren't held accountable for their wrong stewardship, for the people who ought to hold them have been hoodwinked into believing they are untouchable.

So anonymous, save me that crap.

  16. When did Pastor Adeboye become Buhari's minister, Parastatal, PA or other agent? Every one just wants to be known. Music is now failing as only the intelligent can get money which Idris (a Muslim) and Oputa are lacking hence the need to try relevance in Redemption camp through display. May you never be granted. Buhari is alive, go there or try Sambisa now

  17. I'm deeply offended every time Adeboye is referred to as "Man of God", he is a "self professed man of God" learn the difference, so y'all should stop riding his dick like as if the nigger can't do shit wrong, truth be told I see him as a motherfucking thief cos I've researched countless times tryna find what the nigger actually does that helps him amass such large wealth to earn him a position in Forbes list, and all I found soo far was pastor this pastor that then he leveraged on that to be called a motivational speaker, building churches here and there so he expand on the various ways to collect funds, we already have enough churches like seriously, have you walked on the road and seen the disabled and abandoned begging yet you keep preaching about paying you tithes to keep up doing the "work of God", the Bible after all is said and done is summarized as "LOVE", but if all you love is yourself then you're a selfish bastard, adeboye is not the only one guilty of this crime a host of other pastors even the catholic church is guilty as well, its time more attention is paid to the less privileged. Stop patronising these fucking thiefs
