RUGA Settlement - Your View

Have you heard about the RUGA settlement proposed by the Federal government of Nigeria?

The FG plans to create Cattle settlement in all 36 states of the Federation adding that 11 pilot states already expressed interest...
RUGA Settlement is supposed to be a solution to the crisis suffered at the hands of herdsmen............

What is your view on RUGA?Do you ''STAN'' on it?

  1. The president is confused AF🙄

Sambisa forest is wide and large enough for them to do thier entire RUGA on...and also the herders and Biko haram that they can’t stop since will continue to clash and kill themselves...solving both issues for Nigeria so they focus on other and much better things 🙄

    1. President Buhari lost all but Lagos in the last election but Tinubu rigged it for him, fact! No sane and apolitical Yórùba voted for the ethnic bigot and expansionist.

    2. Many of us same and apolitical Yorubas actually voted for him. Many if US cos we know pdpigs are thieves. However the man and his government just keep falling hand. How on earth does it make sense for government to acquire peoples lands all over the country for set of people. And yet you deny any hidden agenda? It's like a Yoruba proverb that says won pe e lole o tun ngbe omo eran jo. The likes of Onochie Lauretta are a bunch of shakers faces of the government

    3. When the head is confused, what do you see or get? Look at Festus Keyamo, Lauretta Onochie, VP-Yemi Osinbajo, Femi Adesina, Oshiomole, Garba Shehu, etc they are all confused.

When Pa Tinubu rigged and placed someone that can't describe himself, what do we get.

      Oh Biafra

    5. RUGA, if allowed, will be more effective than Uthman Dan Fodio's Jihad. Don't mess with Fulanis, give them an inch and they take your land, culture, religion and life.

  2. Not happening. Not in support. Those herdsmen have entitlement mentality, they take things forcefully. How then can you invite an enemy into your land, to survey on you and kill you while at sleep?. Say No to RUGA

    1. They should scarp it. If they don't have enough lands, they can lease lands and make them ranches for feeding these cows. We are not the only ones with cows in our country, how do others do it, before you know it boko boys will take advantage.
The Nigerian gov can be so slow in reasoning, we are looking for a way to curb killings yet they keep providing more avenues. Who knows, maybe it's all their plan in the first place, God will definitely disgrace them.

  4. Nope...ndi Fulani n their cattle should stay in their place, if I need to buy cow, will come to them, buy n go. It should be a volunteer stuff, states that want can have and others who don't want shouldn't be forced to. Cattle farmers can go to states where Ruga settlements is available and relax

  5. The government does not provide a "hawking stall" or "free shopping malls" for traders to use for their businesses, the same vein, the FG should not fund nor compel state Governors to provide a "grazing ground/community" for herders.

Its the responsibility of the owners of the cows, tendered to by the Fulani's to provide "grazing facilities" for their cows!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't support it. Fulanis should be restricted to their own lands except where private ranches are built. Why should Nigerians be responsible for the housing of cows which is someone's buisness? Fulani occupying foreign lands never ends well and this won't be different. Cattle rearing is a private buisness and should be treated as such. Matter of fact, these people should be restricted and sanctioned if they trespass

    ReplyDelete
  7. Despite the fact that the FG gave us some reasons why we should embrace RUGA settlement but I stand against it.

Buhari believes that RUGA will take the nomads from the streets but these Fulani herdsmen are domineering and violent in nature. If we give them a chance to establish themselves in all the 36 states in the country, they will seize our lands, Islamize and "Fulanize" our nation.

Also, the FG said RUGA settlement will put a permanent end to the farmers-herders crisis in the country. I don't think we can achieve this. RUGA is not the best approach to resolve these issues. It will just empower the herdsmen to carry out more atrocities asides the rampant kidnapping.

How many foreign investors are ready to come to Nigeria? How will the acclaimed RUGA settlement attract foreign investors when the insecurity in the country won't allow investors to come over.

Although, RUGA may provide employment opportunities, increase the provision of social amenities in states, boost the economy, increase animal production among others, but why can't the FG focus on other areas asides cattle rearing. Red meat isn't even healthy for consumption. Why meat?

What will happen if the herdsmen dominate us? It will fuel the ethnic-hatred, and they will use their cattle to cover their terrorism. It will polarise the country and put an end to ONE NIGERIA.

Thank God that majority of the states are against it. The senate president said RUGA is not yet in the snenate. Well, let's hope that it won't be signed into law.

Please is there any difference between NLTP and RUGA?

  8. This is just like eating with the 😈 devil using a short spoon. Only for them to pass your land, they will rape, destroy crops and 💣 bomb the ones they could . Imagine when you give them a room in your house.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I do not support it. Why do we have to provide land for them to ranch their cattle? Is cattle rearing a national resource that everybody benefits from? It is a private business of the fulanis and so no state should be compelled to provide grazing land for them. They should carry their livestock up north and stay.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I stand strongly against it, "Sabo" already exist in almost all 36 states, I believe its not a good idea, fulanis may continue their nomadic activities, but should not be given lands. Soon foreigners will claim to be Fulanis too. The borders welcome all and sundry

    ReplyDelete
  11. I hate it because it is purely full Islamization and Fulanization. This President is a religious fanatic and a religious bigot, and guess what? He doesn't even pretend, it's the Christians and very educated Nigerians that are pretending for him, Professors like Yemi Osinbajo.
    He had only one agenda..ISLAMIZATION.

His sole aim was that and he's achieving it too by the day. This is why he failed in every other agenda he was forced to declare during his campaign. The administration has not recorded success in any sector of the economy.

You think Gen T.Y Danjuma, Prof Ben Nwabueze, Gen Olusegun Obasanjo and any others crying out are jokers when they shouted it? No, they're serious. They've commanded armies and ruled communities therefore can smell doom miles apart.

The Supreme Court already interpreted the Land Use Act what else does Buhari want?
    This is BANDITRY. ROBBERY.

You don't go to Benue or Ogun farms in the wild and mount signposts declaring their villages RUGA settlement? That's absolute madness.

Well, this is the Next Level he was talking about, this agenda will ruin Nigeria. Complete war and destruction, no Benue or Ogun or Enugu farmer will sit and watch his farm crops and seedlings eaten up by the Cows. It is going to be fire to fire.

The Federal government has the general and moral powers to stop RUGA but chooses to keep quiet, not proactive as is expected.

Aare Kakafo Gani Adams has warned them already, bring this RUGA rubbish to Yoruba states and he'll raise a million armies to counter and fight the Fulanis and their cows, day and night. Note this, Aare Kakafo will have free hands from Igbos to help fight the fulanis and their roving cows.

You can't have malaria and be treating headache then the mosquito's plasmodium will remain in your blood. Our fear of impending disaster is ringing in our ears but the political class won't say nothing till war erupts.
Sole cause of this threat on Nigeria's unity is Gen Buhari. Other reasonable Fulani men are warning him already, the world is watching this smelling settlement bill.

Take the cows to the bushes in Sambisa forest the grasses are enough, previously the Kano government begged them to bring the cows to Kano for feeding where enough grazing land is, they refused the move.

This motion is deadly and war calling President Buhari, those who selfishly and blindly campaigned for your 2nd term have buried their heads in shame.

    Say no to RUGA!

  12. I'm not in support of that. It's a,private business and should not be used to inconvenience others. If buhari and his kinsmen wants to establish ranch, they should do that at their own expense. Some people were comparing it with Niger Delta amnesty and i get confused at some people's reasoning. Nigeria as a country is benefittng from the oil in Niger delta region and so paying for destroying their farmlands with oil spillage is in other. What do Nigeria stand to gain in this inconsequential RAGA of a thing? Of what economical value is this RAGA to Nigeria as a country or Is it because a fulani man is the president of this country and thinks he can empower is tribe and kinsmen at the expense of other tribes? They should establish that nonsense in their own land. Cattle rearing is a private business and they should take care of their business. We will resist it in all totality.

SHOW THEM THE WAY BACK TO sambisa forest where there is MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE & GRASS TO ACCOMMODATE all the fulani herdsmen on earth.
The people of the different states in Nigeriawide need their spaces to FARM, GROW FOOD for people to EAT.
They also want to get involved in their own cattle rearing and provide BEEF MEAT for people to EAT.
We have goats, chickens, fishes, bushmeat etc in Nigeriawide as meat as well.
It is not the fulanis alone that MUST BE CATTLE REARERS.
Even in the MOST backward COUNTRY on earth, they rear their cattles in ranches and grow grass there.

WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN IN YEARS TO COME?
I always say as long as we keep calling on God and not giving them the (an eye for an treatment) nothing will work. Even Isreal the holy Land don't believe in "let God come down and fight for us" that is why they are still existing today. Kill one and have 10 killed in return.

My take on this is, they have coeco to realize that the other parts of Nigeria are now rearing their livestock and cultivating their agriculture, they are at loss on using any of those to control Nigeria. They are seeking New ways of gaining back control and it has to be by force.

Now I believe that is not Buhari on seat. That is definitely a foreigner who knows nothing and cares less of the situations on ground. Any sane leader who has serious pressing needs to resolve and move the country forward Will not be chasing after flies.

The last I checked, all these people rent or buy shops for their businesses, even the Iya alata's', yet still pay tax and levies to govt.....

This RUGA is dead on arrival cos if it's approved,it will cause more harm than good. People eat 🐄 cow meat all over the world and most cow rearers have ranches ,they or their cows don't go about causing trouble everywhere.

  32. Babaginda took lands in ebonyi and claimed it is the federal government property. Everybody should keep their eyes and ears open. I suggest each state should go into livestock rearing and employ their youths reducing unemployment.

  33. I totally do not support RUGA! Stellz the cows are PRIVATE owned. They can't have my LAND for their private business. The north is blessed with vast land and space. They should use that.
Take Bayelsa for example, which land do you want to allocate to RUGA. Take Rivers state as another example, one of the bone of contention between Mama P and Rotimi then was land, Okirika is a riverine area and Mama P and Rotimi had a bit of fracas. Is it Etche or Oyigbo that will be used for RUGA or Ogoni that Oil spillage have destroyed their land.
Fulanis are the most violent people on earth. See the havoc they are causing in the middle belt area of Nigeria. The middle belt feeds this nation, this herdsmen will destroy their crops, kill the farmers in horrific manner. I should give my land to an animal that can cut open the stomach of a pregnant woman and bring out the child. God forbid bad thing. Is RUGA what we need now? Using the nation's resources to fund private business. Moreover this RUGA thingy if allowed is a WEST AFRICA thingy, that's the country's borders will be opened for one musa from mali and another ahmed from niger to drive their cows into my land. They wont come peaceful oooo, they will enthrone an emir in my state answerable to the sultan of sokoto or the federal government. Buhari has mind, my village! Those guys are strong headed, they will protect their land. Back home, land and family is our heritage, birthright. That's why the ikwerres way of life irritates me, sell their lands to the highest bidder and start fighting when the money finishes.
We say NO to RUGA and reject it totally. Buhari cancelling it is a red flag. They are coming back. Nigerians be vigilant.
