Serena Williams Loses Wimbledon To Simona Halep

History was made at Wimbledon on Saturday when Simona Halep became the first Romanian to win Wimbledon tournament.

Halep beat Serena Williams to win the title and says she got Inspiration from her mum who told her when she was 10 years old that if she really wanted to achieve anything, she should play at Wimbledon....

Halep also said "I've always been intimidated a little bit when I faced Serena,She's an inspiration for everyone and the model for everyone''.
Congrats Halep...

  1. Congrats Halep. At this point,i think Serena should give it a break. Motherhood changes a whole lot in the woman's body and since she birthed her child, its never been the same. She has lost her rhythm. She needs to retire now that the loos isn't much much rather than bowing out when the losses must have overwhelmed her victories.

Come off it abeg. She’s lost her rhythm and still made it to the finals? A grand slam for that matter.

  2. Roger Federa goes one on with Djokovic today after defeating Rafael Nadal. Love them both but wish for Federa to come out victorious cause he's almost due for retirement.

  3. Greed will not let Serena leave this sport now that she is still celebrated, even her husband can’t even advice her

    1. Exactly! You leave when the ovation is still loud. She has had too many losses lately.

  6. Why should Serena quit? Because she has been loosing since she became a mother? Well you don't just quit because you lose a game or two, she should fight on and retire on a high! And I do not think it is greed that makes her carry on but pride ....but then her cup of tea...she is an inspiration any day!

  7. @MsA Halep really played so well, i gave up my nap tonwatch that game. She was a strong contender, she never gives up. She will chase the ball till it bounces its last. She is a "power house" like Serena called her in one of her interviews because the lady has so much energy. She plays far better than Serena, i love her games.

She’s not a Nigerian that’ll easily give up. She’s not even doing it for money but for the glory. She still has about 2 more grand slams to go..

  11. She shouldn't retire now. Have one or two more wins and then retire after that. I like her resilience👍
