  1. Going to church is great, but much more important is having a personal relationship with God. We must have a personal encounter with the one we worship.

We've all fallen short of God's intention for our lives, but those who believe in Christ can have that which was broken fixed. I'm so glad that despite all our flaws, He will still have mercy on us.

    Good morning.

    1. I just watched hotel Mumbai and saw another video online were some fulani heads men opened fire on some police vehicles, I am so sorry if this hurts anyone but I have serious reservations about Muslims. Like why are they easily convinced to take life? I cried yesterday seeing that movie. Why why why?

  3. So yesterday morning on my way to the office, I met a long time female friend working as a lastma official.I was so happy seeing her and I noticed she saw me too but she was acting as if she did not see me.immediately I ran to her and I gave her a hug, then she reluctantly called my name and ask how am I.
I felt so bad and rejected cos I was expecting the same enthusiasm feeling from her but I got none.
I knew something was off so I asked her why was she trying to avoid me and not excited seeing me. She told me she was sorry that she acted based on what she has experienced while on lastma uniform, she said friends who saw her always ignore her and avoid her even when she tried reaching out to them.she said she always feel ashame, that she never knew people can judge her base on what she does for a living.
I was so surprised that is being a lastma a crime,I told her why does she have to let people be the judge of how she choose to live her life.why is she bothered about people who are avoiding her or mocking her over what she does.I look at her and I said to her I'm PROUD of you cos you choose to do this over numerous things a lady could do.she started crying and said no one as ever made her feel like this since she started the job, that even at home they always make jest of her whenever she puts on the uniform.I told her she should never feel depressed no matter what people think of her.
I took her to lunch later in the day and I introduced her to the blog.
I was glad I made a good impact and show of love to someone.the feeling was great after I saw how lifted her spirit was.

  11. I read a post by an opinionated self appointed feminist this morning. It was abundantly clear her mission was to denigrate men and seek for undeserved attention. I have no grouse with that. It's a free society. My only concern is predicated on her repeated deployment of 'Jesus', 'God' and 'Holy Spirit' in her mumblings. It is rather contradictory. You don't move around calling yourself a feminist, and in same breath, preach the Christian gospel. The Christian bible makes it very clear that a man and a woman are NOT equal, and can never be equal. The Bible even went as far as saying on no account should a woman teach a man. It also says a woman should not assume authority over a man (1 Tim 2:11-15).
I have no problem with a woman calling for equality with men. But it becomes contradictory when she sees herself as a Christian too. You cannot be a feminist and a Christian at the same time. They are two parallels. A lot of Western women came to terms with this contradiction and opted for atheism. Those are the sort of feminists I have regard for. It is either you're a feminist or a Christian. You can't be both.

Women hold onto two believes, just whenever it suits them, like a 35yr old woman with no husband in sight, and afraid of menopause, she will put the bible aside & commit fornication to get a child, then afterwards go back to church for dedication.

      Delete
    9. Go away Caesar. In your bid to sound intelligent you ended up demonstrating your stupidity. You can't even support your argument with anything biblical. Go face the woman who did this to you.

      Delete
    10. hmm for the first time i agree with you.'you cannot be a christian and a feminist'

      Delete
    11. No, Ceaser, that’s not entirely correct.
I understand the contradictions you are pointing out, but the issue is not being feminist and being a Christian, it’s bringing feminism into the family or church set-up. That’s where there is an issue. All men are equal, but in organizations, for instance, some men are junior to others by way of their positions, there can’t be 2 CEOs in a company, neither can there be 2 heads of dept.
the family unit is also an ‘organization’, which has to be led by someone. That I choose to be led by my husband at home doesn’t mean I will let any male individual disrespect me outside my home Nowhere does the Bible say that I should submit to ALL men.
The real reason for feminism is that some overzealous males tried to extend the family set-up to all other spheres of life - unequal opportunities for male and females, lower pay for females, glass ceilings that limit the extent to which you can pursue your career, inadequate or no education for the females as the were already condemned to being married, etc. this is in no way biblical. No where does the Bible state that goods being sold by a female should cost less, or that women cannot exercise their creativity; all that is man-made, and these are the structures feminism seeks to knock down.
Those who take feminism as the basis for taking unreasonable stances at the home front do not understand what the concept is about, or why it’s a concept at all.

I love how you stay on your lane. You mostly send your wishes and move on. She does not seems to be a troublesome person to me. I also see her as a non-seeking attention bv. Once I do anything wrong, I would kneel down beside my mum's bed from 10pm to 12am with book in my front reading. She will be sleeping and waking at intervals to check if I am not dozing off. By 12am she will say oya go and sleep. Then 6am she would wake me up and beat shege. After beating she will be like go and get ready for school. All this happened in Primary School cos Secondary was boarding school throughout. Early morning beating during Harmattan is fire

    1. Talking about cheap, go for DANA but going by professionalism i prefer ARIK although they can be funny at times especially with delaying flights every now and then, just book early morning flight so at worst na afternoon you will board.

  38. God pls come through for me.
I need you now more than ever. I wish I learnt a skill when I was younger.
I want to sew but I feel like I'm too old to learn sewing. I wonder when I'll perfect that skill as I have zero basic knowledge about it. I'll soon be 28.
I have a job now, but it's nothing much. Less than 50 thousand.
I feel discouraged to enrol in a sewing class as I wonder when I'll be able to make any meaningful dress or who'll even be patient enough to teach me.
    God please help me.
BVs please advice me or pass a word of encouragement.
Tailors/Fashion designers in the house, how was it in the beginning?

    1. Just 28??? There's still so much time dear if you start NOW. The beginning is hard like every other job/school, but if you are serious you will overcome. Just start please

    2. I am 34 and I work in the oil and gas sector but I want to go learn sewing by next month, so what the hell are you talking about? Please enroll and start when you can, it has nothing to do with age.

    3. Please go and enrol, we have so many people we are teaching here and they are older than you... And they learn very fast, the younger ones we have here are just too slow to learn.... For you to learn fast just try and get your own sewing machine, you will learn very fast...And please look for a good fashion school to learn from... Have a beautiful day

    4. 28 years old??????
      You are not serious.

Please get a skill. With a job that paid me 100k, married and with a son, at the age of 35, I still learnt a skill(decoration/event management)
It was not easy, but I found a way.
Now, I have left that one, but ventured into FABRICS sales, while still working.
My dear, you need a skill and a side hustle.
      Buckle up. Time no dey

    5. 28 isn't old y'all stop pressuring yourselves please , life is in stages and phases and to the one who is alive today is the best day to make amends , you can do whatever you want to do it's never too late please .

    6. When I saw the age I had to laugh. Why do you think you are too old? If you know what some of your elders are going through ehnnn.....

    7. I am 40+ with a masters degree and just started learning how to sew 2 months ago ,so how old are you?

    8. too old at 28?
      Ogini *lolz*
seems you are not a focused person or you dont know what you want.
My aunt of almost 40yrs went to BOWEN with her 2nd child just because she wants to get the certificate and each break , she has a fashion school where she learnt sewing.
Mind you , they are rich and have whatever they need so you don't start having the mindset of shes looking for job.
Pls be guided and upgrade your mindset, how can 28yrs be old to learn?

    1. It has happened 💁🏿‍♂️
As a married woman, you shouldn’t be sex chatting with an ex.
What if your husband finds out?
You want to have a broken home because of one idiot?
Make sure it never happens again.

    3. Was almost tempted to do same with an ex that treated me so bad.

I cut off all communication with him. Yeah, it was had, cos I had gotten used to chatting, and texting (sometimes sexting) with him.

Way forward:- Do not tell hubby. Ask God for genuine forgiveness.
Cut off and block all channels of communication with him. And for your sake, hope and pray he did not make a sextape. If not, you are in. Blackmail is next. No way out.
REPENT, RUN, RUN (yeah, I know I am shouting)

    6. Same happened to me. The regret is heart breaking. I wake up every morning with sadness in my heart wishing I could undo what had been done. If only I love the man I married, it would never have happened.

  41. I remember years back when I was also dragged by some idiots like lady bug just because I stood up for an old bv. It amazes me how it is okay for one to pull another person down but as soon as someone drags the person up, you term such person an ass licker or forcing friendship. Prud Tabitha, keep being you. I love how you stay on your lane. You mostly send your wishes and move on. She does not seems to be a troublesome person to me. I also see her as a non-seeking attention bv. So, irritant lady bug who cannot take her own advice keep off from her. You told one persn not to plant disvison but you want to divide Olo and Prud. Bug the Illiterate rude HYPOCRITE.
