  8. No matter how much i thought i prepared for motherhood, it overwhelmed me hehe. It is very hard, especially when you live in the abroad. It is also the most rewarding. I would not trade it for anything else. I can not imagine my life without my baby. Ruth say goodbye to proper night sleep at least for the next two years. But your baby's toothless smile will make it all worth it. Congratulations

  11. Ohhh this was me. I moved to England aftr my wedding, had my baby months later. My hubby was a full time student so we did not have enough fund to bring my mum.
    I had my baby
    had her via CS
My hubby was a full time student then
I singlehandedly nursed my baby from day 1 till now, she is 3yrs now.
We had nobody to help, the sleepless night, the sleeplesa days, she wont let her dad carry her.
I almost became depressed, but the strong Nigerian girl spirit in me kept me pushing and going strong.
Had back ache, became so fat ciz i did exclusive for 6months.
N.B. We did not have anybody to help coz we moved to a new town while i was pregnant, so it was a new neighbourhood, mostly white British.
    Motherhood is not easy.
But in all i am so grateful to God and happy foe the experience as my girl is the most beautiful girl you have ever seen, i keep wondering where she got such beauty as me and her dad are not cute😊

    1. Nice one.
That's what my mom taught me, I have to make sure that I breastfed my baby very well, at each time I make sure my son sucks for about 45mins even if he's sleeping off, I keep nugging him gently to keep sucking, and at the end of each 'session' he can sleep for 4 hours without without waking.

So when I had my girl, it was the same approach I took and she can sleep up to 6 hours in the night, so making me a very happy mummy thenπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
