PDP And Atiku Lose Appeal At Supreme Court

Atiku Abubakar and his party the PDP have lost an appeal they filed at the Supreme Court challenging President Muhammadu Buhari's victory in the last Presidential elections.

The Presidential Election Petition Court had earlier ruled that the Atiku and his party do not have a reply to an application filed in May by the All Progressives Congress seeking the dismissal of the case challenging Buhari’s victory in the presidential election.

Ruling on the appeal on Tuesday, a five-man panel of the Supreme court led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, stated that the appeal had become statute barred, and hence struck it out.

    2. Its an appeal of a "ruling" gave by the Election Tribunal (which happened back in August by the way), not of the entire case of which judgment was given just last month...

The Notice of Appeal against the judgment was filed in September.

  10. Atiku first misfired by giving Buhari his conditions for accepting defeat after election results was announced. It gave APC the initial moral grounds to wipe him off. Atiku knew he lost that election, he was just trying to manipulate the antibuhari anger to buy time through a pseudo court process
