  1. GM everyone.. Please i need help oh... My brother is schooling in a private school and i was to pay in money for him, for his fees... Withdrawing the money and going to his bank to pay was risky being that it a huge amount

I went to my bank on Friday, which is UBA and i made a inter- bank transfer, i believe this what it called from my bank to his bank which is first bank. They gave me a form to fill

And till now my brother hasn't gotten the money, neither I'm i debited... Please does it take time like this? And what should i do please... And i don't have time on Monday going to the bank

    1. You don't need to worry. If the money did not leave your account and also did not hit your brother's account, the money will be reversed back to your account and you can initiate another transfer by Monday. Cheers

    4. End of month network issues most likely. UBA has good inter bank transfer system. Just wait till Monday, since you haven't been debited then there's no cause for alarm. You may need to check bank if after Monday nothing has been done.

    5. Check your account balance through your phone, *919#, to confirm. Other than that, month end network issues.

    6. maybe the person you submitted the form to did not do the transfer. It is not suppose to take more than 10mins.
Go back on Monday and know why the delay.

but Naija banks dey always fuck up.

  2. Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons! (1st Timothy 3)

Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task.
Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?

In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.  They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

If we indeed do read our bible's very well,no fake prophets/prophetess will be deceiving some ignorant people.

The bible is indeed a complete book!
    Good morning all!

    2. Lol. False prophets and fake pastors aren't about to disappear anytime soon. They're literally fulfilling Scripture.

2 Timothy 3: 13 - 14 Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They're as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse. But don't let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers. (MSB)

  4. My lovely bv's,please, help me out.
I want to understand treasury bills very well.

    1. I want to ask that which is better....91days , 182 days or 364 days?
The bank I went to(GTB) didn't want to reveal to me. I really want to know which will favour me. Is it that the longer(364 days),the better or the shorter (91days),the better?
    2. I also heard about mutual bonds in Stanbic IBTC too.
    3. Which investment is the best between TB (for GTB) and Mutual bonds In Stanbic IBTC?
In all,I want to invest one million naira.
Please,I need ADVICE. I am begging you all, bikonu. God bless you for replying...Amen!

    1. TB rates have dropped to 12% to 13.5% interest rate depending on CBN. It has nothing to do with GT bank. Stanbic Mutual funds is around 11% right now. AXA and ARM are a little higher.

Note that mutual funds can be liqudated at any time because you get interest daily while TB can only be liqudated at the end of your tenure because you are paid interest upfront. So it depends on how long you can conveniently part with the funds.

      Delete
    2. Treasury bills rate isn't exactly a secret. The longer the duration, the higher the percentage, meaning that you will get more returns on the 365 days than either of the 2 shorter timeframe.
I don't know about the stambic bank mutual bond thing but I use a sterling bank app (i invest) for my treasury bills purchase. All i do is transfer the amount i want to invest into my given account, then i select from the different maturity dates available(you'll see the percentage for each dates) and click on my choice, that's all. And I have 24hrs visual on my account and how much is added daily once I log on to the app.
You can find out more from any sterling bank of interested.

      Delete
    3. If you invest in TB, the longer the term, the higher your interest rate. The interest is paid upfront so you can use it for something else. The difference in tenor as in 91 days..etc only has to do with interest rate. Also, it depends on you and how soon you will need the money. If you don't need it soon, I will advise going for the 365 days so you can get larger interest.

I don't know about Mutual Funds.

  5. Yesterday was my birthday and for the first time since joing Facebook, I "hid" the date so I wouldn't get messages from anyone. I didn't post any pictures on social media and no one knew except family and work members because my date of birth is in the register. Even my closest friend didn't remember, although i can't say I blame her.

I have anxiety and I get overwhelmed by a lot of messages. Even if they are non-threatening. Just seeing my phone buzz and seeing a lot of messages from people causes me to freak out. Literally.

On a normal day, if I see "12 messages from 5 chats" on WhatsApp, I don't reply anyone. I turn off my phone until later when I'm in the correct frame of mind to reply. Am I crazy?

Here on SDK blog, I don't open controversial topics. Arguments and confrontations are not my thing so I leave it until the next day when people must have stopped commenting and replying then I open the page and most times, I don't finish reading through the comments. When I feel stressed or feel like I'm being drawn into the vitriol, I exit the page. BBNaija pages are never opened at all.

I used to deny being sensitive or weak but I am a classic overthinker. I'm the kind of person that if something awkward happens in the day, I think about it till I go to bed. And often, I wake up at night in a start, reliving that moment and ruminating over it for hours before I can sleep again. And even while I'm sleeping, it's not peacefully.

In real life, if 2 people are exchanging words or arguing, I feel like I'm going to burst. Even if I'm not involved. It affects me so much that I have to leave that place or if its impossible to at that time, I put on my headphones and drown them out. I hate loud exchanges. They make me very very uneasy.

When voices are raised and confrontations are happening, I feel trapped. I feel like I need to escape. Mh brain tells me that something bad will happen if I don't leave right away. If I remain there, I have this urge to cower or curl up in a ball in a corner until everywhere is quiet again..

Online controversial topics are never opened. Strangers arguing, not rationally, but harshly, on the Internet affects me like it does in real life.

I had a normal childhood. No trauma or anything like that. But I don't know why I'm this way. Am I normal? Is this too fragile for the outside world?

    4. I turned off my birthday on Facebook years ago too. I love it that way. Now I don't have to feel obligated to respond to messages that are not from heart. Now just my close family members wish me a happy birthday with really close friends no pressure. That HBD WULLNP nonsense for something that happens just once a year has stopped. Pure bliss.

  6. I was approached by a con artist. He muttered some words in Yoruba until I told him I didn't understand the language. He switched to English and threw phrases like "your enemies will never see you", " your wealth will never disappear" . I played along and answered "amen" intermittently. I told him I was late for a meeting and he said I should take his number and call him when I was free. He said I needed to call him as I was in danger. He also said some people very close to me were set to destroy me. I asked him if my wife was involved as I had been suspecting her. He replied she wasn't the architect but was being used by a more dangerous group of people. I beckoned on the policemen there and handed him over to them. I did this knowing so well he'd definitely have to "bail" himself out. I'm sure he lost some money to them before they let him go.
I don't have a wife - I have never had one. But here was I being told my wife was in cahoots with an imaginary clandestine group to destroy me! Take a moment to imagine if I had a wife and the average Nigerian "my enemies" mentality. Fight don set be that. Also, assuming I had a running quarrel with her, I would have bought that bullshit hook, line and sinker! This criminal even attempted to create a web of complication by stating there was a more dangerous group involved in order to make the intended extortion enduring.
This is exactly the method often employed by your criminally minded so-called pastors in raiding your bodies and pockets. They tell you your enemies are " members of your household ". This is just to achieve one aim: isolate you from loved ones so that you can easily be manipulated and comprehensively exploited and extorted. You fool, why are you always thinking of imaginary enemies to begin with? Nobody is after you. Your mind is playing tricks on you. Learn to grow your mind. You give these fraudsters the platform they use to launch their nefarious activities. That your pastor doesn't see nothing! It's all guess work. There is no one after you. Wean yourself off this mindset. ALL the supposed miracles you see in the slaughter homes you call churches and TV are all FAKE! All of them. No not one is real. Grow your mind to accommodate this reality. We have miracle workers and our country hosts the highest number of the extreme poor in the entire world! Stop patronising these criminals. They're all fake. They have NEVER opened a blind man's eyes. They've never made any cripple walk. It's all make-believe. Stop enriching them. Deploy your resources to more humanitarian purposes.

That is why people are rushing into it in the name of pastor just to make money. if I may ask, why are Senators, presidents, governor's, house of rep members are not being called by God? I am yet to see any of them resign from their position to become a pastor.

    4. I had a similar experience back then in Abuja. Infact, the con man waited by the car I came in till I was done with my engagement. I came out and saw him standing there. I was scared to my bone. Because of what kwanu? So I must believe you by fire by force? I just ignored him as he kept repeating his prophecies and left.

But I won't dispute the fact that there are still men called by God.

    5. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 those con artists full Abuja. I encountered them once at Area 11 when I went to see my friend at his office. As I loitered outside the office premise waiting for him, one prayed in Yoruba and said I should be careful of my colleagues at that office, that somebody is planning for my termination. Hahahahahaha me wey no get work?
      How to spot them:
They are always dressed in Ankara /native.
They carry some bottles of medicine. That medicine cures everything, even AIDS.
      They open with a prayer.
They look thin and malnourished, never seen a fat one.

If we're seeing the fake of something - whether milk, biscuit, shoes, hair extensions, certificates, miracles, pastors - the real exists somewhere.

Tip: when you polish your nail ensure to double coat the tip from end to end.
      It will last longer.

    3. Raell...you're right to an extent but if the base of the lady nail is squared, the end work looks stuffed.
Coating the tips underneath us a better option.

      I use 2 options sha maybe you try it;
1 Buy Maybelline Manicure Express with CALCIUM strengthener or the plain one. N1,800
      A buffer N100
      Nail dryer kit N2,000.
A cutex that contains formaldehyde or dibutyl. These 2 make it plastic and water resistant when applied. Usualky from N500.
Some retailers don't display those with formaldehyde because of Consumer Rights Council wahala. Ask for what you want or get from those who supply you directly from "the abroad" and check the labels very well.

      Or in a cheaper way
1 Sally Hansen nail treatment (in a very tiny bottle, light pink content) N800
      2. M.A.C.K classic nail coat or FOREVER Nail Mystery (MK..Signature) Both N200 only.
      3. Buffer N100.

      Before using any set;
Apply treatment and wait for 30minutes before using others.
      Pleaseee don't use nail dryer.

Make sure your nails are filed and dried to avoid chipping.
Nails are buffed to roughen the surface preventing early peel. It provides a grip.
Apply cutex lightly (twice) within 5 minutes. Use nail dryer to fix the lacquer to each other.
Then apply nail coat, dip in cold water and it will set and last a long time.

  19. finally it is not by how far but how well.I and some of my friends were rushing to gain admission after secondary school, my desire was to study medicine but I was given another course, my mum begged me to try again but I refused, I did not want people to laugh at Me. now I have graduated no job no passion in that career, I am even ashamed to say the course I studied. most of us that rushed into school are planning on writing another jamb next year. while those that waited for up to 3/4 yrs for their dream course have gotten jobs and excelling. I wish I can study medicine but I am married with a child. let me just focus on my new fashion dream biko. parents please teach your kids the need to stick to their dreams, not gaining admission is not the worst that can happen. learn from my story.

    1. I understand your point but sometimes not sticking to your dream course isn't easy in this Nigeria except you know people. Even after studying ur dream course, how are you sure you'll get a job , except of course you know people. Some people studied yoruba and are working in the bank. Some studied medicine and are not still making it.
In short, what works for A might not work for B. So just put everything into God's hands.

I have zero passion for the course I studied...yet I am going to do masters in it again because I need the certificate at my work place. My kids won't make this mistake at all.

I will still purse my dreams...i am dreaming so 😎😎

    3. Sis, why would you be ashamed of a course you took 4/5 years to study? Be proud of it please.
And NO, gaining admission as at that time wasn’t rush. What if you had stayed back writing jamb and it didn’t come out well? I know someone who wasted years trying to study medicine, she refused to take up another course. But in the end, she didn’t get to study medicine.
You must not be a professional in that aspect.
I did a professional course, but I am not working with it.
Have you thought that maybe God didn’t want you to go that way....studying medicine?

    3. I will advise you abort that plan. You can look for another business to do. If not, nah charity car wash you go end up with.

    5. Well i think you can make it unique. You can have a small supermarket and sell some car items as well..something to make your customers busy while waiting for their cars..

  32. Good morning and Happy weekend to you all.

I have been TTC to conceive for another child since 5yrs now. My husband isn't even bothered at all, I told him to follow me to see a doctor, he said No that he is the one that gave birth to the first one who will be 7 and that he is fine and nothing is wrong. I am 33yrs while he is 43yrs. He said if it's only him he is OK with one child and we plan on having two kids before marriage. Its been 8yrs we have been married. He has money to afford any medical bill but he is just adamant, I can afford it too but he isn't ready to go or undergo any test or diagnoses.
    What can I do?
NB:He doesn't allow any of his family to pressurize me or anyone asking question he just let them know that they aren't footing any of his bills so they should mind their business.

  33. So I just read the story of the woman who waited to conceive for 14 years then died after 7 hours of Labour. I commented on the post and am reposting my comment there because I feel we need to open our minds to accept opportunities that will save our lives.

Take it from me, when your wife is in labour, until the doctors comes out to tell you the good news, your heart will be in your mouth and sometimes even in your hands.

Nigerian women and husbands too need to come to terms with the fact that CESAREAN SECTION is not a death sentence. In fact, it is one of the best means of delivery.
You can even avoid labour pains if you want.

Stop misinterpreting and misunderstanding the Bible where God promised women will deliver like the Hebrew women. It simply means YOU WILL NOT DIE DURING CHILD BIRTH! which can either be vaginal delivery or CS.

If your doctor advices you to deliver by cesarean section, it is still God putting his promise of delivery like the Hebrew women in motion because it is HE who gave us knowledge to develop this delivery method.

God bless all pregnant women and grant them safe delivery and bless all TTC-ing wives the fruit of the womb in Jesus name.

Finally I ask again, how do I get this ID thing?

Stella I greet u. How you have gotten matured married men glued to your blog is a wonder. I salute you

  36. I'm late by hours but let me try to unlock these hashtags.

Soooo, there's a short woman whose ways are not pure, cheating and covering her shit but errrm it's still obvious.
She's been at it, tried explaining and worse off, you don't accept the lies.
And some persons are trying to beg on her behalf but you stand your ground?

Then you feel "there is a couple of people who think you can do better"?
