    2. No other local language corrupts spoken English like Yoruba. It affects the accent, the tenses, the general command of English for most. My love for yorubas and the language destroyed my English expression. It was a real war for me till I made a habit not to speak Yoruba unless it is very necessary.

    3. Na wa for you o saphire. I speak Yoruba very well and have started watching Yoruba films again and my English is immaculate. It depends on upbringing. If you were brought up in an English speaking household no amount of Yoruba speaking can change that. I learned a lot of Yoruba from yorubawood.
