  1. The work in front of you

The task seems daunting. But take the first step and it will be much less so.

The challenge feels insurmountable. Begin to rise to that challenge, and you’ll quickly know you can work through it.

Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed by the intimidating concept of the work in front of you. Instead, become empowered and encouraged by the details of everything you can do right now.

Realize that every moment is an opportunity to make a little more progress. And those moments just keep on coming.

You’ve undertaken many actions in the past and you can complete another task right now. You’re skilled at making a difference and that’s precisely what you can do in this situation.

The work in front of you is filled with possibilities for achievement. Moment by moment, task by task, seize those possibilities, and bring the achievement to life.

She was the OG "shoot your shot" mama. The 3rd woman in the genealogy of Jesus Christ and the grandmother of David (she begat Obed who begat Jesse who begat David).

She maintained chastity during widowhood and got through her grief and poverty with hardwork and trust in God.

She got Boaz because she had a backbone (had the guts to be sleeping at the man's feet) plus she had Naomi to guide her and she recognizes truth. God is not against shooting yo shot as long as you have his guidance.

Met him at a wedding, he was one of the groomsmen and boy! he was something so it was easy to notice him. 😍 lol

My cousin kept yapping bout how she woulda snagged him if she wasn't engaged. I summoned courage and met him talking with the DJ.

My first attempt but i didn't get nervous or anything. I'm already a class act at addressing men cos of the nature of my work. We exchanged contacts and the rest is history.

PS - He asked me out officially 3 weeks after, in front of my son who he's meeting for the first time.

Anonymous darling, I saw your reply this morning on BEP 🤗🤗😘😘😘

When will most Nigerian learn to read rules and regulations that governs authoritative bodies?

How can people be so sensitive, sentimental and misinformed that they cry wolf when things doesn't go their way.

I can't believe what I've been reading from some Nigerians (especially the ones who claimed to be well educated, experienced and enlightened)
The Oscar Awards has their rules and regulations. Instead of Nigerian directors and producers, stakeholders and actors to take note of their mistake, they are going on social media to spill their ignorance.

Make a good movie in your indigenous languages and show to the world the different beautiful culture and dialects of Nigeria. Don't make an indigenous movie with actors using fork and knife to eat amala, akpu, or tuho. Take notes of little details, those are the things that matter most.

Actors shouldn't be wearing sleeky wigs or hair extensions in indigenous movies that is talking about Nigeria and Nigerians.

The earlier we learn that not "anything goes" in a well put together and organized body like Oscar and their likes, the better it will be for us to re-evaluate our actions as Nigerians.

Most Nigerian actors are not versatile! How many Nigerian actors can confidently speak up to three or four Nigerian dialects..... I remember watching Rita Dominic playing the lead role in one of the Lancelot Imasuen movies, she couldn't speak the dialect, she was always speaking English while her mother speaks in the dialects or is it another movie that a Yoruba actor couldn't pronounced rightly the name Adaobi or the ones that pronounced Yoruba words with a nonchalant attitude because they don't care nor do they have respect for the different dialects.

Anyways, I shouldn't be ranting this early morning but, I just had to because every online news station in Europe has carried the news.

    2. Mrs A it's not about the actors it's about the directors and producers of the movie ensuring the actors learn their lines in the language take ajoche for instance, they have just two idoma people in the cast but almost all the actors make at least one sentence in idoma language.

      Delete
    3. BB how about the ones who carry same hair throughout the movie? And you will see 2yrs later,9mths later.

Ms A,fact is madam Genny did not read the rules, once again proving the adage,”you want to hide something, put it in writing “

    5. Mrs A I 100% agree with you...Lionheart to me was a good movie but just wanted the whole movie to be in Igbo language...Pete Edochie and Onyeka Onwenu were speaking Igbo to Genny babe and she kept responding back in English..We need to realize that this white people don't you want emulating them cos they love our culture and wish to have such..That's why some of them are seriously obsessed in adopting other people's cultures...Africa embrace your culture...

    6. You are very correct Mrs A, imagine giving an igbo role to a yoruba person, at the end of the day, they name her Adanna, but she can't speak nada in igbo language,And they are ranting. I mean, what happened to her natural hair, I was just disappointed fa. Mtcheeewww

  17. Good morning everyone. Stella I get your point where you said ladies should love themselves more, but the problem here is menopause. I don't want to scare anybody, but the bitter truth is that menopause is coming early this days. Somebody I know that is not up to fourty three called me and said she just entered menopause. She is not married and does not have a child too. She is not happy about it. I am not a doctor but I Know for sure that if a lady is getting older without childbirth, there is high chance of fibroid. I don't know if this thing I am saying has meaning but I just have to say it.

That said, I cant believe I've done several months without wearing wigs. Something I could NEVER try in Lagos. Honestly the way we do in Nigeria, we can hardly have fine hair #facts You wont even be able to see the beauty of your hair with all the wigs and braid and things. I'm seeing the benefits sha cos my hair has grown longer, my puff is bigger and my edges are taking shape. Downside is that I'm spending more money on hair products that I'm used to 😏 I've had an unsual run through shampoos and conditioners and I'm deep conditioning weekly... na by fire by force make frizz no make me resemble bridezilla. I'm also trying hydration against my usual moisturizing. It makes hair more manageable.

I've still not had the liver to go and braid hair for $200+ 🤣😂 I'm looking for a favourable weekend to braid my hair while watching Netflix. Two days max.... I'd have self-braided kinks. Hehehhe. I'd rather send that $200 to my mum let her sing one worship song for me 😂🤣

    Night y-all! ✌🏽
