Arsenal Appoints Mikel Arteta As New Head Coach

Arsenal has appointed Mikel Arteta as their new head coach on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Arteta replaces Freddie Ljungberg, who took over as interim head coach following Unai Emery's sacking at the end of November.

He leaves his role as Manchester City assistant manager to take up the job at Arsenal.

"This is a huge honour," said Arteta said after signing the contract. "Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that's been made very clear to me in my discussions with the club owners and board of directors".

  1. Players are confused
    Management confused as well.

Stop buying small boys that think of playing to entertainment and impress rather than wanting to win trophies.

    1. Allegro a much better fit. Looks like Ljungberg just didn’t want to hang there until the end of the season. Massive work to do especially with indiscipline. Such an indisciplined lot. They never respected Emery from day one.
