Veteran Nigerian singer Tony Tetuila, and Ghanaian singer Tic Tac, are suing their Junior Colleague Wizkid over copyright infringement.

They  are demanding for over N30 million from WIZKID because his single “Gbese” produced by DJ Tunez has some content from their 2004 “Fefe Na Efe” hit song.
They are also seeking 35% of both digital sales and royalties DJ Tunez and Wizkid received from the song

  1. Replies
    1. I hope Tetuila didn't steal 'you don hit my car' from Ebenezer Obey ooo

  2. It will end in out of court settlement.

  3. I’m sure that Wizzy no go ever wan give una that publicity b4 settlement. Na money una want & Wizzy go give una ASAP.

  4. I just listened to the song,
Well Good luck Tony and Tic

    You're doing the right thing.

  5. Very good for them! Many new generation Nigerian singers can't even write their own original song that can last a lifetime.

I was listening to Mariah Carey all I want for Christmas, I couldn't help but noticed how many donkey years, that song have been out there and it keeps coming back on replay every year. Even if she doesn't release any other song in her life, she'll keep making millions yearly just through this song.

But, Nigerian new generation singers keeps recycling and recycling older Nigerian singers songs.

    1. Irony of life

      Even their names
tic tac and tony tetuila are stolen intellectual properties.

No be their type go make this noise

    2. Abeg. Many singers abroad also do the same. It's called doing a cover or sampling. Whitney Houston was not even the original singer of I will always love you

  6. Awon elebi meji.
They won't get As dime. What they claimed belonged to them originally belonged to the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti
They only want to take credit for what doesn't belong to them..

  7. WizKid should reach out to them ASAP. He should not listen to some of his fans those ones have been saying " but he gave them a shout out na ". If Tony and Tic- Tac wins this one, other cases might spring up

    1. But even the name "tic tac" na stolen property!

  8. I hope they didn't also lift the lines for that song from someone else. They should think very hard.
