Wow! I just googled this king, Frederick William I of Prussia. The man was insane! He even tried to make some men taller by stretching them and some of them died in the process. He would even kidnap tall men and force them to be in his army. Of course, He was a very short fat man but he wanted his soldiers to be tall and slim.
