Five Year Old Boy Sent From Adamawa To Taraba State To Do "Almajiri"

The word “Almajiri” is derived from the Arabic “Al muhajirun”, “an emigrant”.
It usually refers to a person who migrates from his home to a popular teacher in the quest for religious knowledge. He lives under his care but mostly goes out to fend for himself by begging for alms and food..

    1. The parents will keep birthing children and disposing them, all in the name of 'religious training'. Na so overpopulation = poverty

    2. It's common practice in the North. They are no longer trained to be Islamic scholars but full beggars.

    3. If they are not trained to be Islamic scholars, would I be right to say they are trained to be Islamic beggars ?

  4. Do you need further explanation as to why the north is impoverished despite the number of years they have been in power? Do you now see reason why most northern youths are brainwashed into terrorism and banditry, as a result of the absence of proper education?

Do you now see how they have been ruling Nigeria over four decade and have set the nation backward? A people whose actions impoverished their region cannot set Nigeria on the right part This is nothing but the truth....

    1. Absolute truth.Stupid southerners will not see it. There is no way Nigeria will ever move forward with its rulers from the north. People that has refused to move with the times.stocked with archaic ways. Imagine all the developed nations has embraced modern ranching and these people refuse to learn and insist on doing it their forefathers way, these are the people at our ruling class, the people that will be moving us forward.please let's divide this nation. These people can continue their lifestyle and we will fashion the one we want. I curse all the people that have planned and contributed to bring this evil man back and all his archaic ideology. May their children even if they should run to the end of the earth reap what their fathers and mother's sowed .

  5. If you tell them about family planing in the core north, they will tell you it is haram(forbidden) in their religion. They keep getting married and procreating the number of kids they can't cater for. Once they stop breastfeeding the child, they send him away for begging tagged almanjiri. The mentality of people of that region can be appalling to be honest. If they can accept family planing ie having the no of children you can cater for and also train in school just the way other part of the country is doing, I believe Nigeria would have been a better place by now. They're the ones pulling the rest of the country backward by churning out large No's of beggars, uneducated youths and brain washed fanatics.
I will never forget my work experience in Maiduguri, how the husband of one of our client almost killed one of my colleague becos she did family planing for his wife after 9children. Nobody tell me before I flee for my life.

    2. I repeat again, you can't give what you don't have. The northern part of Nigeria can't take this country out of its problems, rather they will compound it. Their orientation is shallow and their belief system is ackward.

  6. This is just all shades of wrong. A five year old child. A child who should be in School. The government in Taraba state has failed this child and all other children in similar circumstances. These children are the future. They want to keep them impoverished so they, the old ones can continue to be in power. Government should remodel all the public Schools across Nigeria and make primary and secondary education free for all children. The money they spent on legislators last year alone could do that in two states. They need to take a state at a time. A rich country like Nigeria has nothing to offer its less privilege children

  8. A five year old should not even understand the concept of begging for food. His life right now should be, I'm hungry, I get food. This is beyond sad gosh.

  13. My 5 year old daughter annoyed me this morning. I gave her a green top to wear and she started sobbing seriously. She was telling me she does not like the color.🙄

I proceeded to spend the day showing her pictures of less fortunate children and their circumstances. I was not amused at her tantrum at all.

God bless parents and families who provide for their young ones 🙏

  14. You are a great mum. Most parents would've proceeded to beat shege out of the child but you used it as a learning moment. May God continue to bless you and your family. Keep it up. That's how you teach a child life skills.
