During a conversation about the hidden financial weight that marriage can place on men, Freeze pointed out that some unions come with extra layers of responsibility, especially when the woman is the first child in a family that is not financially stable.
He explained that in many homes, the firstborn daughter often carries the emotional and financial burden of her parents and younger siblings and when such a woman gets married, her husband may unintentionally inherit those obligations.
Freeze didn’t mince words, stating:
“As a struggling man, don’t marry firstborn daughter from a poor home unless you are extremely wealthy.”

Responsible first daughters are indeed blessings to the family. I am a witness to this and can boldly say that they are usually strong and hold siblings together. My eldest sister exhibits that leadership trait. May God continue to bless every hard-working woman out there, and most especially first daughters. They are the pillars of the home.
