    1. Murders happen EVERYWHERE so calm down with the hysteria. Evil is universal, it's in both black and white. We live in a fallen world.

    2. pls don't come back, too many wicked entitled ppl in this country. I wont be surprised if its a family member/friend he gave money for business or a project and that one thought he's never coming back. Now the baba came and started questioning him.

    3. Evil is everywhere no doubt but the probability that you will die before your time in Nigeria is much higher.

Road trip you cannot do because it is either armed robbers, fulani herdsman or soldiers waylay you on the road. Ok if that doesn't happen the roads are terrible with potholes, you are at risk because most road users in Nigeria didn't go to driving school so they just drive recklessly like possessed people. Some drink and drive, tankers are there and no one is held accountable.

Apart from that you will worry about domestic help, driver, maigurad, nanny etc. No matter how good you are to them your life is more or less in their hands cuz they know your in and out.

Then God forbid you are in an emergency or say an accident, people will gather first to take pictures and upload on SM before helping. Then if you manage to get to the hospital, they will reject you and that is the end.

Please let us own it to our chest, there is evil everywhere but we can't even begin to compare. See how this man was killed for nothing, do not rest sir till your killers are apprehended and convicted.

May they not know peace, may everything work against them, may they remain cursed and tormented, may they run mad and be lynched on the streets, ase!!!!

    4. Murders happen everywhere but in Naija, killers walk free. Its my decision to stay where I am.Stay in your naija and be calm.

    5. Beds and roses,my exact thought when I saw the story.Entitled family and friends.May God save us.

      Delete
    6. I agree with beds and roses. The murder was probably carried out by entitled people to gain what is not theirs. Senseless!

      Delete
    7. Of course it is your decision. Who is forcing you to come? We read about the Oyekan murderer who was sentenced yest so it is false to say killers walk free.

    8. 14.02 Then stay where you are, simple.

May his soul rest in peace and may his killers be brought to justice. Amen.

    14. The probability of being killed in the US is much much higher than 9ja. You can walk into walmart one day and one crazy ass idiot will decided he wants to kill people, you can be driving one the freeway and you cut another driver and he decides his way to express road rage is shoot you. The problem with 9ja is household enemies and unfriendly friends. They'll be smiling with you but they hate you. Na dem!

      Delete
    15. You are very correct. Our friends and families are our enemies

  11. It might be family. It might be land issue. Or maybe working on a project, getting close to being awarded a contract and his rival snuffed him out.

    1. Same thing I thought. Could be an envious colleague or family member.

    2. Thought so too. Its just a case of finish him off. Or it could just be an aggrieved soul that has been waiting patiently for his return over the years. You just dont know who is holding a grduge against you for little or nothing reason. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

  12. envy? Or some people felt he didn't help them all the while he has been away? Hmm whatever it is this wrong. The man came home to rest but no he's now resting in peace

  13. Haba what kind of horrible news is this for goodness sake!
After killing him, they still went ahead to butcher him, ah.
I hope and pray the perpetrators are fished out as soon as possible, wicked souls.

  15. Ikorodu!!! To go find wetin there? Some places are just no-go-areas... you'd be a target.

  16. God forbid...This is wickedness of the highest order. May his soul rest in peace.
His family will wish he never came back.

  17. This is so painful, what is wrong with our people?this is tragic! he lived in New York for years only to return to his country and be murdered in such a manner I weep for this Country.

  18. Sad.
He probably invested money in a business with someone in that club. Or he lent someone money and
the "easiest way" (in their vain mind) to get away from it is to absolutely delete him.

  19. Just two days ago, a man stabbed another to death just outside a Gregg's eatery in the UK. For no reason. Two weeks ago, what made news was the story of a young boy - killed by a driver who deliberately drove where he shouldn't have been driving. Damilola Taylor had been in London for barely a month when he was stabbed to death; his mother never recovered and she reportedly died of a heart attack in 2008. Human traffickers have violently beaten and sold a victim on Oxford Street (of all places)! Katie Piper was doused with acid by her deranged ex, in broad daylight on a busy road. Wasn't a semi elderly Nigerian couple in the news (including this blog) some months back cos they'd lost more than one son to gang violence in London? Princess Diana didn't die in Nigeria. Neither did Jill Dando.

Talmabout "Nigeria is this and that". As if anywhere on Earth can be Utopia as long as there are human beings there. RME. Wickedness and senseless lawlessness don't care about geographical location.

    1. Don't mind them. No one is saying crimes don't happen in Nig but people will be talking as if abroad is heaven and crimeless, may you never jam.

    2. I hate all these baseless arguments with weak points. For every 1 Damilola Tailor there is 100 in Nigeria.

What are you even talking about? How many criminals are even caught in Nigeria? Pray tell.

At least in the UK lives matter and there is a system that works, even the life of a dog means a lot. You guys can delude yourselves all you want but we know Naija is very dangerous and unsafe.

We haven't even talked about all your one chance operators, kidnappers, ritualists, armed robbers robbing you in traffic and breaking your glasses abegiiii.

No where is safe but some places are more dangerous, the sad reality is that Naija and places like India top the list.

    3. Anon 19:10 Thank you oh.No where is safe in the world but everything in Nigeria is going to kill you.A country where basic amenities is luxury.Where SARS and police shoot in broad daylight.Save money, write IELTS come and experience the life Jesus promised us.

    4. Do you know for some people the place God has for them to prosper is Nigeria? Canada is not the only place a person can experience "the life Jesus promised". You are there, good for you. Let others do what is for them. Eod.

    5. I live in the US and I am grateful that I live here. Nevertheless, 9ja is not for some people and 'abroad' is not for some people. I have family in 9ja that are doing so well that if they dare tell me they want to relocate to the US, I'll slap sense into their brain. In the same vein, if I tell them I want to relocate back to 9ja, they'll slap sense into my brain.
The most important thing about prosperity is being in a location that agrees with your destiny.
If your destiny is earmarked to prosper in 9ja and you relocate abroad, you'll suffer ehn, you won't know what hit you. Same thing with living in 9ja when your destiny is supposed to be outside 9ja. It is people like that who don't need to enter or live in a country illegally. Without stress and fraud, sponsorship for legal stay will come.
So let God direct you and find your location of purpose.

  20. Where ever you find yourself, bless the place either home or abroad. It is God that watches over us with his protection, Some will curse the country they choose to seek refuge in only to return to their ancestral home and be murdered. God help us all and no weapon fashioned against us will prosper.

Be vigilant and chat less of your affairs, for your best friend can be an inside enemy knowing your every move. I can bet if they find who the assassins are- they will be someone known to the family.

Returnees living large is like attracting robbers into your domain, Go where you feel safe, and do not expose yourself.

    R.I.P condolences to the family

  22. The way he was murdered suggests more than just business rivalry or petty jealousy o. He might have been involved in something deep that no one suspects, maybe a cult?

Or he may be an innocent person hated by a really twisted evil person. May God grant his family the strength to bear his loss. May his killers not get away with this

  31. BTW, they should hold the gateman. The person that posted it on FB wasn't there, how can he be so detailed with the information? He's talking about a source, which source apart from a witness? The story says the gateman was the only other person there.

NEVER in my life have I seen or heard anyone but an ACCOMPLICE have the presence of mind to calmly witness such without blanking out. To be able to see clearly that someone is being matcheted severally "like meat"? That means the gateman wasn't lying down or afraid. And the first person he called was the man's wife to coldly tell her not to return home cos her husband had been killed? Hold the gateman, he will talk true.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Thank you the Real OA! Those are my exact thoughts... The gateman knows more than he's revealed; no way they'd take the time to shoot, butcher, dump phone etc with the body, not take anything else and set him ablaze and they'd leave the gateman to be cooly watching... I think the gateman was AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT in this crime.
