Man Kills Mother In Law And Commits Suicide...

It was a bloody new year’s eve in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State as a 44-year old man, simply identified as Voke, butchered his mother-in-law to death.

The incident, which occurred at Arubayi Street junction by Polokor market in Warri, Delta State, caused serious tension in the area.

Youths launched a revenge attack on the suspect, Voke only to find him dead near the bridge after Polokor market. Officers of the Nigeria Police Force “B” Division in Warri stormed the area at about 2:00p.m. and evacuated the body parts of the deceased woman and that of the suspect to the morgue.
It was learnt that the suspect drank poison and killed himself after he had butchered his mother-in-law.

Voke had five children with one Onome, daughter of the deceased woman, a tomato seller at Polokor market before he travelled to Ghana. It was gathered that the deceased woman was said to have received a message from a cleric not to allow her daughter marry the suspect, who was yet to pay bride price.

The cleric, it was also gathered, further told the deceased woman that the suspect, who was a tailor along Okere-Ugborikoko road before he travelled to Ghana, plans to use her daughter for money-making ritual. Based on the message from the cleric, Onome had gone ahead to rent another apartment with her five children.

Angered by the development, the son-in-law threatened to kill the mother-in-law if she does not allow him to marry her daughter, Onome. He eventually carried out his threat after efforts to woo back Onome and his five children failed.

  1. Ladies ladies ladies!
How many times did i call you?
Stop having unprotected sex with a man who has not paid your bride price. Stop!
If Onome had not opened legs for Voke to pour his seeds and concieved without marriage, this would not happen.
    Women women women!
Stop listening to these fake pastors and prophets. They cause plenty havocs in families.
I read where one was giving 'prophesies' that there would be change of government all over tge world, some would be peaceful wbike some will not be, earthquakes and volcanoes will occubr in some parts of the world as a result of SIN.
Biko, are these prophesies or normal yearly occurrences?

    1. So you’re saying if he had married her , he won’t have killed the lady’s mother and himself ?

Remind me again how many people have died in the hands of the spouse they got married to ?

  5. Sad indeed. Orphans have been made.
Why did they not go to the cleric before breeding five kids?
And if this man was a very rich man that gives money to this cleric, will this message come?
One of the outcomes of sex before marriage. why breed five kids and you are not married to him.

  6. Warri men do not pay bride price before pro-creating, sometimes with different women.
That has been their way of life for donkey years.

    They should change their ways.

Nigerians should avoid these self-ordained pastors without anointing.
Go to denominations that teach the doctrines of Christ and have existed for years with proper foundation on the tenets of the gospel, order and presbytery.
