Mother Of Boy Kidnapped During Church Service Talks About The Pain She Is Passing Through...

IT IS exactly 70 days today since the one-year-old Gold Eninla Kolawole disappeared mysteriously at the headquarters of the Sotitobire Miracle Centre located at Osinle area of Akure, Ondo State capital during a Sunday service. The whereabouts of the only child of Mr and Mrs Temitope Kolawole, who went missing on Nov 10, remains unknown.

The General Overseer of the church Prophet Babatunde Alfa, and the children’s teachers on the day the child went missing have been charged to court and remanded at the Olokuta Correctional Centre, Akure by a Chief Magistrate Court. Boy’s mother speaks… Meanwhile, the mother of the victim, Modupe, remained hopeful that her child would one day rejoin the family. “l have the strong belief that my son would soon be found alive.

I am not losing hope a bit”, she said. According to her, she felt empty during Christmas and New Year when she celebrated the festivities without the child. “The last festivities were the worst for me as I felt really empty without my only son with me. I just kept thinking of him and where he could be. It was a tough and rough period for me”, the mother said. “It has not been easy. During this festive period, others were jubilating but, for us as a family, we were in a sad mood. “In fact, all I want is my child.

That is the most important thing right now. I want my child. I have been praying to God to bring him back to us alive. “I know that when he comes back, all the secrets that have been hidden will be revealed. I know he is going to come back alive by God’s grace. “I’m appealing to everyone to help us with prayers towards finding our son. I still have the belief, I still have the faith that my child is alive and he will definitely come back alive”. Modupe alleged that the family members had been receiving threats from unknown persons over the missing child. Her words, “We are still being threatened by unknown persons. We cannot walk freely in town, we can’t do anything. “There are unknown people making threats through phone calls. When we go out in the car, we still notice people trailing us but that has reduced.

The phone threat is still on. We have alerted the authorities over this. “And the latest we are facing is that policemen have been looking for my husband. We don’t even understand why they are looking for us. I don’t know if they are trying to implicate us”. Speaking on the findings by the Department of State Services, DSS, she said, “On the ongoing investigations towards finding my child, I don’t really know what is going on. “As you know DSS doesn’t reveal much. What I’m just hoping is that God will take absolute control. God will guide them (DSS) to be able to find where the child is”.

    2. Nigerians, study your Bible and know God for yourselves so you can easily detect fake pastors! The more of God you know, the easier it is for your spirit to bear witness with the spirit in whatever pastor or Church you visit. I don't know how to explain it anymore, if you know God, you won't be taken advantage of by fake, satanic pastors!!!

  8. Ahh ahh why charge them to court...i remember when the little girl of a popular church here in Lagos got kidnapped during Sunday Service. The church, the members and the parents teamed up to pray her out of that den. The girl returned back to the glory of God

They don't even value their Church pastor.

Next time do not be in a rush to make comments, I am based in Akure and this matter has caused a whole lot of wahala, the pastor of the church where the baby got missing has been remanded at olokuta prison alongside the ushers on duty the day the boy got missing, the church burnt and properties destroyed, google the incident it's everywhere, stop making comments unnecessarily

    4. The joke is on you Hurpe. You need to take your own advice. What anon 15:50 was driving at was the need to team up and raise prayer altars. The anon criticised the locking up of the pastor. You jump in berating that anon but in actual fact provided more damning evidence showing that focus was on “physical self help” rather than prayers

  13. This is sad. But what if the pastor and the children church teacher know nothing about the missing baby, Is that how they will keep suffering them in jail? So many innocent people in jail

  18. I honestly did not want my sister to send my nieces to Sunday school without being present. I didn't even know of this story at the time. This taking ppl's children to another location, sometimes in the basement or a separate building all together does not sit well with me.

    1. I share same view, my dear. My daughter is never leaving my presence in church until she clocks 18.

    2. My dear castle, I share in ur view cos the world especially Nigeria is becoming too unsafe, I wonder why a mother would leave a one year old child to Sunday school. Everyone in my church knows I and my daughter na super glue. We die here o. She doesn't move an inch to anywhere without my eyes on her. I wonder what this woman will be going tru. I'm already traumatized set reading the story

    3. It cannot always be feasible to be with your child. Especially if you are a church worker. Parents like you join the Sunday school department. That way they can be very much present. But even apart from church, you can't always be with your child. Unfortunately this woman drew the short straw on this occasion. It could have been anybody, even the ever present parents. Let us just pray that some things pass over us. There are some people who go to churches to steal, kidnap and do other unthinkable things. I pray this child be found and brought back unharmed.

    1. Shush it! May God help us find the child but why implicate a man of God without doing your findings? Did your husband not kidnapp himself & this your son when he was 3 months old to collect ransom from your parents Doye? Keep protecting your husband you hear, remember you promised to divorce you 419 of a husband if it's true that he did(kidnapp) it again! You'll will soon be exposed in Jesus name, amen!

Take this info to the bank fellow bvns. TJE PASTORS IS INNOCENT!

  20. This is very heartbreaking, the worst thing that can happen to any mother. I don't even want to imagine the pain this woman is passing through.
Oh Lord, please bring Gold home.

  21. I can’t imagine the hurt the mother is going through.. God intervene please

Reading all the information it just doesn’t feel like adequate investigation is being done. For starters ALL 14 (fourteen) ushers on duty that day should be detained including the Pastor and the mystery man, all in different jail cells. If there are cctv or security cameras in the church or around the church area it should be looked at. IMPORTANTLY children who where in the same crèche that day should be interviewed by a social worker, trust me details will come out. Children are more observant than we think. As for the adult caregivers and pastors they would be Interrogated and grilled one by one. Offer immunity or rewards to any one who can give authentic information on what happened and the whereabouts of the child and rewards to anyone in the public, let news stations, blogs, and posters even in villages, markets and stores publicize the information with a hefty sum of money or reward. A hotline should be set up and added to the posters for people to call anonymously or send texts. Security agencies should if it comes to it torture the people involved.

  23. God will bring him back in his health, no one will harm that boy.

I think is time churches should install CCTV cameras nin church specially in church department to always see what is happening to the children.

    1. It is important. A thief was seen in my church, as cctv caught him in the act, but it was after the fact, as he was not a regular. So wasn't caught as no one knew him.
