Nigerian Ladies Enslaved In Lebanon As House Helps Cry Out For Help

Nigerian ladies in large numbers have arrived at the Nigerian embassy in Lebanon begging to be sent home after the news of Omolola Ajayi's case (Omolola recently cried out for help and has been returned to Nigeria)received immediate attention from the federal government.

According to Sahara reporters, the ladies who fled from the homes of their masters arrived at the embassy begging to be taken home to Nigeria as they were suffering;they stated that they were often flogged, their salaries unpaid and travelling passports seized.

The news alleged that they embassy turned them down and refused to permit them sleep in the embassy as they were already stranded and unable to return to the homes of their employers.

A few hours after the news on the stranded Nigerian women in Lebanon broke, the chairman of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa tweeted that the ladies have been taken in by the Nigerian embassy and profiled.

    1. Lebanese here are horrible people. To imagine I had a Lebanese suitors in naija, a naturalized Nigerian claiming Nigeria because their grandfather moved here and had his plenty sons here, i no fit oh cos of his blood. But he was a really nice person from the popular Solomon family from Calabar.

  2. The authority in charge should bring them back since they are willing to come back home. Experience is the best teacher,if someone had advised any of them before they travelled,I doubt if the person would have listened.

  5. Lemme go anonymous on this, whenever these ladies come to my office to obtain their international passport, we ask them where they want to go and we advice them, one thing I notice is that their mind is made up already and nothing can change it except they go and experience whatever it is they experience over there, some are lucky, some are not. May God help us in this country

    2. That's why I don't pity them. They bash Nigeria government and call this country all sorts of names just to go abroad but when they face with reality, they start calling the same goverment to come and rescue them..

Funny enough they end up in crazy countries like Oman, Libya, Lebanon and the rest, all in the name of abroad.

  6. What are they looking for in Lebanon, when majority of the Lebanese want to come to your country.

It's not a must to travel if you don't know much about the country you're visiting. Don't travel because you see people doing it.
Nigeria is far better than Lebanon.

  7. Thank God. Funnily enough, some girls will not learn from this. They’d abadon the small job they have here and run off to the abroad to be HHs. Let’s all hustle so our kids don’t settle for less.

  15. Arabs lands are no place for Africans to seek employment. No Arab country treats their local black population good, not one. They all look down on black ppl. Even the word for black is the same word for slave in Arabic.

If you must travel out then look for a country with solid human rights laws. Places like Lebanon will not imprison your sponsor if they kill you. If they beat or rape you there will be no law to protect you. Those are bottom of the barrel dead end countries where dreams go to die, and you may lose more that just your dreams, you could very well lose your life too.
