  2. Very sad but not new to me at all.
When I talk about fake lives, fake smiles, and the fact that the OAPs that Nigerians worship do not make their monies and trips on those pay but on runs, same people will shoot arrows at me like they did to the one they forced to take down that post.
I have a someone that worked there and she had told me about all these.
She too resigned immediately she got married as the husband could not take it anymore...stories everyday, injustice everyday.
    Let's leave it for now.

  4. Stella!!!
    I can totally relate.
My story ehn, I’m trusting God tho.

Worked in a tv station with my boss(married man) harassing me on a daily (groping, smacking and all what not). I left because it became too much but my parents do not know. Told them I left because of stress and unpaid salaries (partly the truth tho).

You are owed for three months and when you get information on possible payment, it turns out it’s quarter of one month salary... oh!!! The frustration.

You work Sunday to Sunday, 6am to 10/11pm and you’re paid 40k.

Months later, I’m still being owed.
    Months later, I’m still jobless.

Well, better jobless than sleeping with my married boss.

I trust God for something better.

  7. This isn't new to some of our ears.
The only problem is what is the solution?

    Who do we run to?
Almost all the agencies doesn't favor a woman. Is it a crime to be female?
    Mbanu!
This is why I get more upset when a woman tells her story and another woman who thinks she's 'smart' counters it.

    Quite heartbreaking I must say.

  8. If you are in a position of authority no matter how low or high and think it is a golden opportunity to oppress and harness others

When GOD punishes you the way He likes do not complain

  9. Wickedness abounds in the heart of the human race!

However, in a country where fundamental human rights are indiscriminately abused and laws are not enforced what you get is the jungle life.

This is horrible! See what women go through at the workplace.
Oreka thanks for speaking up. I kept wondering why you were no longer on air.

  10. I am shocked to see this from Oreka Godis mostly because she seem like a feminist,no nonsense classy lady who won’t allow the things she said here;sorry about her experiences and that of people working in media/entertainment industry.sex should be consensual with people deciding if they don’t mind sleeping with their superiors for money, opportunities and favors. It should never be forceful,it should be a choice without fear of the disadvantages.Paying salaries and benefits should be a norm too!this country is just bad’ it is well

  12. When we say we are a feminist, these are the things we want to come together and fight. It’s not always about submitting to your husband.

    1. The law alone doesn't change any damn thing if the CULTURE, MINDSET, ATTITUDE & REACTIONS OF THE SOCIETY IS PASSIVE TOWARDS AN INJUSTICE!!!

First of all Nigerian women r the worst enemy to each other. Very uncooperative & sabotaging. Instead of them not to support & cover up such atrocities when they see it happen, they'll happily mock the victims, look down upon them to further stigmatize them.
It's only because of the attitude of nigerian women in Nigeria, that's why these things continue to occur & no authorities or law can deal with it!

    3. 19:03 then after the women summon courage and fight on which law will fight for them? in a country as corrupt as Nigeria? When Busola opened up a lot of women supported her but how far today? Do you people think before writing?

  18. I am not surprised, the thing is so prevalent in almost all the sectors that one can find employment. Women go through hell, you see that struggle she described even including the luck of wearing jeans etc it is what women go through. They do not speak up bcos the system blames the victim.

There was a time my govt work was employing, HCM dept guys have already shared all the female sounding names amngst them, i say without seeing the ladies gan gan, they have divided them acc to they will have sex with, married or not.

One poor lady was so bold to report, Head of HCM packed the blame on her. HCM HEAD na woman o!

This poor lady has spoken, they will still ostracize or judge her untop of all this revelations. However there are some ladies in her industry that has been targetted to be assaulted, but her revelations will keep the wandering d in check.

Oreka, God is not asleep, He will see you through. OREKA GOD ALMIGHTY WILL SEE YOU THROUGH!
