Pastors And Prophecies

This post is because I need to know and I figured you might know what i need to know.........

All these prophecies all over the place,do you believe God really reveals such things to Pastors or that they read News around and deduct what to prophesy from what they read?

Please be brutally honest in your response without insulting any man of God in particular....

  1. At least let the prophecies be in one accord, uniformed.
Same God, different prophecies. Makes one think twice about all of them.

    1. I think it is a subtle advert to the public knowing how prophecy-hungry Nigerians/blacks can be. When a prophecy/prediction comes to pass, they interpret it to mean the MOG is "strong" and rush to his church and whatever he says becomes law, no need for verification or question any demand he makes.

      Easy way to catch mugus.

    2. I just thought about an incident that happened years back before I opened this post.

Those of us that grew up in the suburbs of Lagos will know all this wowen that buys bottles, spoilt shoes etc.

I just took one pair of my mum's shoe that is bad and sold it to this woman that leaves opposite our house,my mum was not aware of it.

We were in church on Sunday ,when a prophetess in my church started (we call it EMI in Yoruba).

She asked who sold a shoe ,no body answered, after some time I remembered and had to go to where my mum was sitted to tell her I sold her bad blue shoe.

If not for God that exposed the woman's bad deed.

She actually took the shoe somewhere to harm my mum.

The next day she saw us,she was behaving funny cos she knew she's been exposed.

So what I am trying to say is that there are real prophet.Ever since I left home,I have not gone to meet any pastor for prayers.Thank God for my church ,it is a ministry where you are your own prophet.I can't even trust them.

  3. I think these prophesies by pastors are all educated guess work.

  4. Those who do not conform to Gods standards should not be regarded as prophets.... i see alot of them that enjoy South african ass and Otombo shit eating ass, dishing out fucked prophesies.

Beware of false prophets, who come in to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:15,16).

  5. In my own opinion. I think they study trends and situations and talk their minds. If they are actually communicating with God as they claim, can't they ask God to help Nigerians, bless us to have good and considerate leaders so that the country will excel as expected. The hunger and suffering in Nigerian is on another level now.

  6. Stella these are NOT Men of God! They are men of gods. If you like do not believe or post.

  7. Which other countries have received their own 2020 prophecies from numerous pastors?

  8. 95% Percent of what is being seen today as prophesy are nothing but mere predictions of a likelihood occurrence. A message from God doesn't need to say 'May' A prophesy should be definite and have a time frame. Elijah was a good example when he prophesied about the drought. Prophesy must be fulfilled in order to confirm God's word, for the Bible say instead of His words not to fulfilled, heaven and earth will pass away. So if the words didn't fulfill, then I doubt if it's God's word.

  9. Prophecies in this country! I give up

  10. No one knows tomorrow. They can only guess. The last Prophet to walk this earth was Prophet Muhammad PBUH. He is the seal of the prophets. Anyone who comes after him claiming to be a Prophet is a scam. They can only predict. If there is any Prophet still remaining on earth, then that person should come out and tell us when he'll die, when the trumpet would should and tell us exactly how the life and future of his unborn children will be. That's when we'll know he is a true Prophet of God.

    3. I kinda disagree with you eesah. Nobody knows when the trumpet will sound not even Jesus. If one is truly a Prophet of God, (not a seer) , your prophecies will come in parts. Even the Bible says 'you prophesy in parts', reason there has to be a confirmation from another genuine Prophet of God. A Prophet can see a little bit of what might happen in his children's lives, as the Spirit leads.

    4. My friend told me the exact date he would die, morw than two or three months before the said date and I woke up in the morning to be called upon that he died overnight that same day. He's not a prophet but things happen bro..

It's something I will never forget, he called me into his room and told me this, thought he was in trance, I shut him up but the date didht change.

  11. Hmmmm, what can one say. In spiritual matters we have to be mindful of what we say about these "men of God".
But the truth is that many of them most times, take advantage of the situation and circumstances to give these "prophesies".
But I believe that the God they are using His name to give these prophesies, will surely handle those ones.
    May God help us

  13. They are just doing competition with each other..

    Some are true.some guess work.

God is not a confused God..

  14. God works in a mysterious ways. What he do with A is different from what He do with B to Z. No man box God to a corner.

He said the harvest are plenty but the labourers are few.

Not all receive or hear from God. The devil too gives his own prophesy to his people. God did not take the powers from him.

Let them continue prophesying, one thing i know it is for correction, to do right, mend your ways and come back to God in full.

Whether dem read papers or not, none of my business. God has given His gifts to people who sincerely desire it.

Instead of condemning, lets pray to God for His Will to be donee

  15. Those "pastors" make the whole place look like a confused mess, every new year.
I don't listen to any of them. I go by my Scriptures and seeking the Lord who saved me.
    God does not only speak at the beginning of the year. And this is what Jesus taught us;
My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me...John 10:27
Note that he said "my sheep"...not just "my shepherds".
If you cultivate the habit of seeking God. Tabling all those personal issues before your personal
Lord and Savior, you will hear from him.
    What else did he say;
If my people who are called by my name shall turn away from their sins and humble themselves and pray
I will hear...and forgive their sins and heal their land 2 Chron. 7:14
    Are you among his people?
    Okwa ajuju ooo 😘😘😘😘🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  16. I don't believe in any of the prophecies. I see all the pastors as liars and manipulators.

God is not an author of confusion. So, their prophecies does not tally with the way God's chosen prophecy.

  17. I don't listen to prophecies here and there or even read Internet prophecies.

Scripture says Prophecy is given for the encouragement and comfort of believers (1 Corinthians 14:3 But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them.)

Prophecy is a gift from the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit is to point to the Savior, Jesus. (John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14 He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’) If your prophecy is not leading others to Christ or edifying Him, I don't want to hear it.

Most so-called prophecies nowadays are just warnings and dire predictions giving by studying the world times and not by the Spirit. You will know the false prophets by their fruits.

There is no fear in love, because perfect love casts out fear. God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power and love and sound mind. (2 Timothy 1 :7) If a prophecy induces fear in you instead of strengthen your hope in Christ, its not from the Lord.

Finally, if you are seeking prophecies around because you want to know the future, open your Bible. Scripture says God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)

  18. Prophecies are for edification. Anything short of that is trash cum prediction. If can can powerful enough to prophecy a plane crash that would consume lives, shouldn't I be powerful enough to stop it? See Nigeria has been under BH seige and none of them is powerful enough to go to Sambisa both spiritually and physically to invoke fire to consume BH yet they are busy predicting global affliction. Please, let them just stop all these satanic and fake prophecies and visions. All na wash.

  19. Prophets house dey burn, them never put out the fire of BH, poverty, hunger, kidnapping and rituals so Nigerians/ church members can have at least a normal and decent life. Na to go dey do fire brigade for another person house wey don arrange him life. So long as none of them can do what Elijah did, let them take a looooong back seat. Inukwa annual prophecy. Who no sabi read bible or pray to God? Only fools are ignorant of the fact that the spirit realm is open and bare to anyone who set apart time to seek God's face. Infact, exactly the same thing bishop, alfa or herbalist go see na him you go see clearly. It now depends on how you choose to play your card with regards to its manifestation.

  20. I believe that some people do hear prophecies from God. I don’t believe most of these ‘prophecies’ flying around are from God though. Seems to me many of these prophets are under pressure to do something outstanding, that will make them stand out from their peers. They started with miracles, now moved on to prophecies.
Many of their prophecies are vague, some are just at variance with each other (when we know God is not an author of confusion), some are just as good as educated guesses, arrived at by studying past and current happenings, nothing divine/spiritual about them!
They should stop deceiving themselves, it’s becoming embarrassing to the church. No one should ascribe to God what He didn’t say!

  21. I don't bother reading any of the prophesies...

  22. I believe in prophecy but not this competition Nigerian pastors are doing

    ReplyDelete
  23. The real ones who see prophesies, dont say it. They will be advising and preaching against things that will bring the prophesy to past.

    ReplyDelete
  24. They're all fake! I don't believe any of them. All the prophecy I need is in the Bible.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This appears to be a Nigerian or maybe even African phenomenon.

  26. Boko Haram will kill. Herdsmen will kill. Plenty rain--people in Lekki should pray harder this year. Harmattan in january. How many of these go beyond common sense. All you need iz garnish them with pray and Jesus, then you get yourself a prophecy. One couldn't see and forewarn his pastor who drowned in Spain. Fr. Mbaka is in Enugu deceiving some gullibles. One is busy parambulating in Aso Rock seeking for favour from mortals. They are making mockery of God. They are scammers and charlatans. Schizophrenics will be making predictions in Nigerians from hallucinations and hearing voices--all forms of mental illness. Instead of taking them to psychiatrists, people will be calling them men of God even though it is self-evident that their prophecies are grossly off the mark. It shall never be well to who did this to Africans.

  27. My take is, doesn't other religion have seers too ?
I believe in Prophecies but not when it is all over like this, watch out the govt. will soon be regulating them.
Maybe they should localize their seeings to their congregation.

  28. I believe in prophecies. Some prophecies are off. Even the bible says test all spirits.Good thing is I have the gift of discernment, so I dont take every prophecies hook line and sinker.
I received a prophecy sometime ago from a mad person in d market, omo I fear that day....it was more of a confirmation I asked for and the way God used a mad person to confirm really made me know that truly there is nobody God cant use.Na yoruba film I dey watch am b4 until it happened to me.
So Stells, I believe in prophecy oo but not all.
