  3. They are the ones Stella. And if I may, I would like you to bring up their good deeds as often as you run into them. We never celebrate the good, only the bad. Yes, it's what they signed up for, but No one prays to go in the manner that these men and women protecting us go. There are bad eggs everywhere. Even within our respective families yet we pray for them. Thank you very much Stella. GOD Will celebrate you too.

    1. Ohhhhhh yessss... I love the Nigerian Army officers.. I have few as good friends and anytime they are here in London for a course, I'm always happy to visit them with my family and friends because they fought the war in Liberia and Sierra Leone as very young officers then. I was home in November and saw the army officers at the airport in Abuja who were getting donations for the army just like they do overseas, I was so happy and donated 25,000 on the spot, I wonder why they and other passengers who were on the queue were shocked but I was so happy and if I had more, I would have given that day but I was already flying back

    1. I'm always proud of the Nigerian Army even while here in the UK.. so proud of them, and the beautiful thing is that they are highly loved all over the world because I remember once I was talking about Nigeria and a Liberian who was also in the gathering quickly chipped in, I love Nigerian Army, they saved my family in Monrovia,I had tears choke me up, I couldn't speak and severally I have had this happen when I meet other Africans at work or when I go to the salons, Ahhhhh those Sierraleonian and francophone ladies and men will fill my ears of how Nigerian troops liberated their villages. Amazing! All Salutes to the Nigerian handsome Army men.

  8. The pain is that these men are paid peanuts.
And when they die in action, their widows see shege.
I have one now that died in that October attack in Zamfara. The wife is yet to get the benefits for death in action, the kids are yet to get the promised scholarship. They are not supposed to struggle for these things.
The only good thing for now is that they have not been pursued from the barracks.

  22. Thanks Stella. My hubby served in maiduguri combating Boko Haram for four years. We weren't married then, he was a young soldier. He told me what his eyes saw is beyond comprehension but he made a vow to God that his blood will not spill in maiduguri and God did it. He's the best husband any woman can wish for, the mumu I was dating before him was a lazy only son with horrible sisters. My hubby is Godsent and his family are wonderful. I never believed I could end up with such blessings but God is faithful. No lady should ever give up, God normally reserves the last as the best

  23. See how people are suffering and all our callous dealers are intrested in at the moment is an upward review (or downward review 🙄) of their remuneration.
    Wickedness runs in their veins.

  26. God bless our gallant soldiers and their families and may God continue to bless them as they continue to put the heathen scum of Boko Haram and the countless bandits and kidnappers to the sword

  27. May God bless them, risking their lives for an often ungrateful populace.
That said the government has to do a better job:
    1) incentivize the army like in America (free schooling including med school, engineering for army recruits, extra favorable home and vehicle loans).
    2) good support for wives/children when the men are at the front
    3) proper psychiatric evaluation before/during and after deployment
    4) the army chiefs/general/war strategist (whatever the proper term for them is) have to plan the battles properly, gather intelligence, give them proper arms, ensure squadron leaders are the best: do NOT send these young men as sitting ducks to be massacred by BH/ISWAP.

There's a lot more to do but I can't type it all.
