    3. The white wedding dress you are defending is a traditional dress. It is tradition of white people. So the argument doesn't hold.

    6. Even in western culture, brides got married in any colour. It was when Queen Victoria got married to Prince Albert wearing a white dress, that white for brides became popular. It started as a fad. No significance whatsoever. Google it

  5. Nice one in daring to be different.
My issue is that that Sisi won't wear that cloth that is sweeping the streets
    to another occasion.
On my own case, I wore something I could wear to work, church, outings etc for at
    least another one year.

  11. To all of you complaining that it shouldn't be worn for a "church" wedding, would it change to "traditional" wedding if you choose to dress in traditional attire to the church? No.

    Everybody, do you.

  15. If this will be more affordable that those exorbitant expensive white wedding gowns, then let us embrace it. All I ask is that they make several colors so one can choose the color they want cos I don't like red. And for those saying traditional dress shouldn't be worn to white wedding, I hope yu know that the white wedding dress we been wearing for ages is a traditional dress? Yes, it is the traditional dress of Europeans. The white wedding is their traditional wedding. Your church wedding is not invalid if you don't wear the 'white gown' please lol. I believe we are the only ones in the world who get married twice...our traditional wedding and the white man's traditional wedding. So we can customize and funkerize them into our style.

    1. Gbagam!!
      You are very correct.
The 'Isi agu or Isi odumu'(head of lion or head of leopard) cloth comes in various colours and textures. It same materials that the bridesmaids are rocking too.

  16. When black people in Africa prance about announcing "White" wedding, it is the hallmark of neo-colonialism. Traditional wedding alone should be the package and come with marriage certificate.

    1. Thanks for the info, but believe me as long as the wedding dress is decent enough, no pastor will chase you out on your big day.

I love the gown, beautifully designed.
I can wear something like this on my big day, though not so extravagant like the above.
      But I love love it!
