Electricity Tariff To Increase On April 1st

Nigerians will from Wednesday, April 1, 2020, pay more for electricity.....

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission had disclosed this in its December 2019 Minor Review of Multi-Year Tariff Order 2015 and Minimum Remittance Order for the Year 2020.

Checks by The Punchng.com on Monday showed that the decision to increase tariff had not yet been suspended despite the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A top source at Ikeja Electric told The Punch that “According to the tariff order for the year, we are supposed to increase on April 1, 2020. So far, we have not received any directive not to go ahead.”

*The directive better come this night....

  14. Why increase the tariff when majority of the people hardly have light.

This is not even the appropriate time to hike the price of anything.

There's going to be a recession after the pandemic. I hope this government and other people in the aims of affairs are aware of this.

  16. People are out of work because of this issue, governments of other countries are trying to provide means for people to survive, financially and otherwise.

Here, transportation is free so that people don't have to touch their cards on anything and our ever useless government will allow an increase in electricity tariff at this point????

    I shame.

    Shame! Shame! Shame!
