Pastor Adeboye Says Coronavirus Will Not Affect His Church Members....

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has spoken about the entrance of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

The highly revered Pastor’s comment about the virus was contained in a video he posted on his verified social media handles.

Adeboye, in the video posted Saturday evening, assured members of his church that no virus will affect them.

Making veiled reference to Coronavirus, which broke out in Nigeria few days ago, the man of God said this is a time to know the difference between the children of God and others.

He said: “I want to assure you that there’s no virus that will come near you at all. Because it is written that those that dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I want to believe this is time for God to show clearly there’s a difference between those who serve Him wholeheartedly and those who do not.” watch video here

  1. Prevention is better than cure. You should take caution not to get infected than to rely on your daddy GO declaration.

  2. You are very right Stella. He did that broadcast so they won’t lose offerings today from low attendance. Selfish businessmen that claim to be men of God.
Church goers you better be smart, heaven helps those who help themselves

  3. As funny as it sounds, the spiritual actually controls the physical, if his members faith can carry them, coronavirus won't affect them.

    1. But poverty affects them, malaria affects them, typhoid affects them, only coronavirus won’t affect them. Nonsense. These are the people who have kept us undeveloped with this kind of happy talk.

    3. Anon the fact that poverty, malaria and typhoid affects them doesn't mean the finished work of Christ on the cross is useless, the Bible says he will bless the works of our hands, until we learn to follow Godly principles and standards things won't work

    4. You people better watch out for yourselves. The 'god of man' only wants to make sure you come to church on Sunday and pay your tithes. Sunday quota must be met.
Just remember to follow health guidelines to avoid the Corona. Don't 4get God helps those who help themselves.

    5. Exactly. The spiritual completely controls the physical. For instance,If your house is on fire, and you have a way to get out, pls don't. If your faith can carry you, sleep on the burning bed, for the fire will not burn you. Wisdom is profitable to gini??

    1. Baba Adeboye should pray for everyone not his church members alone. We will overcome this virus by God's grace, amen.

    2. The clergy man has drawn the line to judgment already.
Why on earth will he say that, yes as Christians we know the blood of Jesus and his potency but again the bible says dont be heavenly conscious that you're earthly useless.
That verse in the bible simply means in this case that you shouldn't be professing the word of God that you forget to use hand sanitizer, washing of your hands with soap and taking precautionary measures to protect yourself.

    3. There is no Bible verse that says do not be heavenly conscious and earthly useless. That is merely a quote from people or some pastors.

Nevertheless, your observation is very accurate. Christianity does not equate folly. Folly is having faith and being negligent. We do need to practice proper hygiene, God gave us a brain so we can have that common sense. I believe churches need to preach this as well, don't just be telling church members, you cannot have coronavirus, educate them on proper hygiene and tell them to back it up with faith and prayers.

P.S there is also no Bible verse that says heaven helps those who helps themselves. If you can help yourself, you don't need heaven's help. Let us not ascribe popular quotes to Bible scriptures.

  6. We are Children of God. What do we need preventive measures for? All the people the virus affected now know who they belong to.

Meanwhile the Pope went and prayed for the sick.

  8. No preventive measures can protect you in a densely populated place like Lagos. I took two buses yesterday and the way people are packed like sardine how do you prevent someone from sneezing in the bus beside you. Countries with better health facility than Nigeria are recording cases despite their preventive approach so how can we not call on God to save us. Believe what you believe and leave me with my belief. Hian!!!

  10. Bottom line is, avoid overcrowded areas, use hand sanitizer when you're out, wash your hands regularly and wear face mask. Protect yourself first before calling God to protect you.
