Supreme Court Upholds Judgement That Sacked Ihedioha And Installed Uzodinma As Governor Of Imo State..

The Supreme Court, Tuesday, dismissed the applications brought by erstwhile Governor Emeka Ihedioha urging it to review its judgment in favour of incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state for lack of merit.

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola who read the ruling also said that it is a final judgment of the court.

However, Justice Sentus Nweze one of the members of the 7-man panel differed on the ruling saying, the ruling will continue to haunt the legal jurisprudence of the apex court on issue of its status of finality.

He further invalidated the victory of Uzodinma and reinstated Ihedioha.

  1. In effect, it was not unanimous.

  2. The judgement was not unanimous. Justice Nwaeze delivered his minority judgement by distancing himself from already given majority judgment on concluding his ruling he said wonders shall never end”

  3. The correct spelling of the Justice's name is Centus. 6 to 1 majority decision. Instructively, no punitive costs against the counsel to Ihedioha, Agabi, S.A.N.. Overall, I think deep down their minds, the SC knows that it got the Ihedioha case wrong. Unfortunately, that's part of the imperfections of human institutions...

  4. Thank goodness for Justice Nweze. He has cleared his conscience and name. As for the others involved in this sham ruling, may their conscience haunt them. That is, if they got any. May someone steal something that is rightfully theirs too.

  5. Monumental erroneous judgement!! the concept of Apex court in Nigeria is a scam and illusionary.

  6. Even David Lyons case is a monumental error. But the goons at SC need to protect whats left of their integrity. If they have it ie
