Young Thief Sentenced To Die By Hanging.....

A High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced 21 year old, Isa Abdulkareem to death by hanging on a two count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.

Justice Oluwatoyin Abodunde who delivered the judgement held that the prosecution was able to prove that the alleged armed robbery took place.

Justice Abodunde added that the prosecution counsel was able to “prove every element of robbery with veracious evidence that has probative values”.

The judge added, “I find the defendant guilty and convicted accordingly.
“He is sentenced to death by hanging and may the Lord have mercy on his soul”.

The prosecutor, Mr. Gbemiga Adaramola said the robbery took place at Oke-Ureje, along Igirigiri Road, Ado Ekiti.

Adaramola said the convict was arrested by community members during a combined vigilante patrol exercise before he was handed over to the police for investigation and prosecution.

The convict was said to have robbed one Adeya Olalekan of N74,000, and an Infinix Note 2 phone, among others

He also robbed one Olomola Taiwo of N110,000 and two Tecno Y6 phones.
During interrogation, the convict confessed to committing the offence, and took security agents to their hideout where they recovered and kept their arms and ammunition.

    1. The insecurity in Nigeria calls for serious action. I read on instagram yesterday how one young fine student was robbed and machetted on the head in ibadan. he could have died.

Just last week on EKO bridge, a young man was robbed and pushed over the bridge to his death.

i mean, how do you do this? Is man so without conscience? You dispossess a man and still kill him?

I have no pity for robbers, whether small or big robbers. No judgement is too harsh. If you can carry the arms, with intent to hurt, you can as well meet your creator.

The same measure with which you dealt with others is what shall be measured to you. Though it may tarry, surely it will come.

  6. The law of Nigeria says armed robbery is punishable by death. Robbery with knife, machete also is punishable by death. If he robbed without weapons, no death penalty for him.

In Evans case, some states did not have laws against kidnapping prior. It's after he was arrested that some states started enacting laws against kidnapping.

    2. If you have ever been robbed at gunpoint, you wouldn't be asking this silly question.
Do you know how many people e has killed while trying to rob them off their valuables ?
I hope you don't pray to see gun pointed at your head by armed robber.

  11. No, the sentence wasn't harsh. This is someone who uses guns as in he's armed and may have killed innocent people in the past. If you live by the sword, you'll die by the sword. My sister was robbed at gun point last month of her phone (ordinary phone abi) BUT it was a harrowing experience for her. She was asked to strip, dropped off and told to run into the bush (in the dark) she was groped but wasn't raped (thank God). You think that if they are sentenced to death tomorrow I will feel a thing? Abeg!

      You're all criminal sympathizers.
I hope and pray you all experience being robbed at gunpoint soon..

  13. Anybody who thinks the judgement is too harsh has never been robbed at gunpoint or knife point before. Do you know of the people he may have killed? Is it because it wasn't mentioned?

What about the women he may attacked? Robbers don't just rob and/or kill women. They rape them. The whole gang rapes them. Do you understand the trauma these women go through IF they survive?

Sorry, but i have no pity for them. The only person who has the ultimate right to change his judgement is God.

  14. Big and small robbring are bad, but the same sentence should be given to people like Evans is the prison out there.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Immediately I saw d headline , I said he must have killed his victims, but that’s not d case here. If he repents in d prison, God might favor him for a prison term instead of death penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh well.... I wish he never attacked any one.

  17. If you want to know those that are stalling Evans case, that's his lawyers.
They know he's going to jail but prolonging the matter, making money from Court appearance.
It may take time but he's going to get life or death penalty, that's sure..

And to those shouting, when you experience being robbed at gunpoint, putting gun on your head at point blank, your stori and narrative will change then.
