Death Toll In Kano State Allegedly Rise Despite State Governors Denial...

Kano State government continues to deny the mysterious deaths being recorded within the state capital, while residents of the city live in fear as more burials take place daily.

Daily Trust reported that over 150 people were buried in three cemeteries within the capital last weekend, but the state government denied the report.

Some residents who spoke to DailyTrust.com.ng on Saturday said though there was a little respite, Janaza prayers are still being conducted for multiples thought to have died from severe malaria and typhoid fever. Within Zangon Barebari neighbourhood alone, it is gathered that about 15 people died between Wednesday and Friday.

Similarly, an attendant at Dandolo Cemetery told Daily Trust Saturday in confidence that the number of deaths in Kano is still increasing, adding that “between Wednesday and Thursday we have buried about 67 corpses.”

  3. They are not yet living in fear. Cos even if you don't know what it is, at least if you behave yourself and stay home, you will know what it is not

  4. I heard a neighbour saying that people were given a drug or so in Kano and were made to believe it is a cure for the virus. They took it and started dying

    1. Since when did meningitis kill them at such a large population? Even the people working at the cemetery are complaining they haven't see such before

    1. Step into what. Corona will help open the eyes of many. Sadly, it will take lots of lives to do so. The masses will call for their blood soon by the time Corona kills more of them. You cannot feel pity for stupidity and you cannot feel sorry for people who are selfish and greedy. Ganduje should take out the money from his babariga and help them. Call me stone hearted i dont care. he who doesn't hear will feel. Its as simple as that.

    1. He is covering up because he wants 15 billion .

  16. Its clear Covid-19 isnt the cause of these deaths. However it is sad that their dubious governor is using a budding pandemic to play politics.

  20. I want to believe is not Corona but ignorant. I watched a video clip where these northerners were washing their hands and drinking same water claiming, theres no Corona anywhere. The medium that the government should use to educate them on going pandemic, they are not using it because they are after the fund from Fed. govt

  21. Why are they not taking pictures or videoing the event because the government will keep denying until proven

  27. Actually the number has surpassed what daily trust reported. In one family today I Kano 3 people died among them is my friends inlaw Hajiya Umma. Cause of death is still unknown but mostly people above the age of 50. Only yesterday u personally typed RIP more than 30 times on Facebook friends wall that loss someone. To my own understanding, meningitis, asymptomatic covid-19, other underlining health conditions and the fear of the unknown that is killing. I know my people are ignorant and stupid sometimes but that never warrant the nonchalant attitude from the government. Can you believe we have only one testing centre here and it has been closed for three days? Reason health workers don't have PPE and some of their staffs tested +be to The virus. Most of us wants to get tested but we don't even know what to do. I have been having constant Headache with fever for almost 5days now I've taken anti mallaria drug and have finished my dosage but I'm still not fine my throat don't hurt but I have this strange pain inside my nose with the fact that my sense of smell is gone I know I haven't gone out since before the lockdown but who knows? Ganduje is wicked and we the people of Kano will never forgive him. The blood of those who died and are still dying will hunt him. We might be ignorant and hotheads but we are humans and the government have to take responsibility of its people. If you have a heart pray for Kano and the people of Kano for really something is happening here.

    1. Please look for blackseed oil pills and take it with Vitamin C. If you can't find the pill, look for the seed and google how to consume it. Within hours you will be symptom free. Do it for 2 weeks.
      Goodluck.
