    1. Yes most places in PH have constant light. I stay in Rukpawulushi and we have steady light. Can't remember the last time i bought fuel for gen.

    2. Some parts of PH use turbine not electricity.

      Delete
    3. What's turbine and whats electricity? I work in the gas turbine. What we do is generate electicity and feed it to nepa. They do the distribution. We omly generate we do not distribute.

  4. To be honest NEPA are trying in my area. They give us light eighteen hours on and 6hrs off but I noticed from last week Sunday our light has been almost 24hrs steady now. No more rationing again. Although we pay a lot in terms of NEPA bill. We pay 40k every month for the 4 flats in my compound.

  8. NEPA dey try. We always have more than 7hrs power supply everyday.

Na something compared to nothing because Nigeria is known for total blackout when it comes to electricity.

  9. We hardly have light.
Adetola, savannah, bolaji banwo, and all of us connected to the same transformer.
The light goes off before 8 in the morning and doesn't come back on till after 8 at night. When it does come back, it doesn't stay the whole night. It could go off before midnight, and come back on while we're asleep.
But every morning, once the day breaks, light is gone...till 12 hours later.
I was told that we're connected to orile business unit.
But you see our neighbours...emmanuel street, irone Avenue, Santa and co., they get upto 20hrs of light in a day.

  10. There is light sometimes and most times we are embraced with darkness

na my generator and fuel they keep me sane this period indoors...the amount we spend on fuel daily is ludicrous tbh πŸ˜”

  13. Let me use this opportunity to call out ikedc okota branch,My street aliu bisiriyu and dele orisabiyi street in ago palace way, transformer got bad twomonths 3weeks ago and they came and took it for repairs...but they have refused to return it back stating the transformer owes 10million,the people in the area contributed 3 million, they came to fix one of the wires on the pole and now they are asking we pay another 1.2 million before they can bring back the transformer, as at wednesday i learnt they have been able to pay above 500k in this HARD TIMES, At least 45 percent of us are on prepaid.Connect this light and disconnect those owing.I'm calling out their manager one Mr ebenezer please sir kindly do the needful, we are tired of wasting money on fuel😭.We know you have the power but please bear in mind that we have kids at home currently. Please ooooo

    1. I believe you.
One of my cousins moved her family to her brother's BQ in VI two days to lockdown, she insisted that if Dele Orisabiyi doesn't have light that Yusuf Erinfolami will soon join in the, darkneas and they are ok over there as the hubby is stuck in Europe on official trip.

All those streets around Apena Bus stop looks like NEPA 'loves' them specially.Pele dear, somehow they will see this comment and do the needful.

    2. Same thing they did in my area in PH. Our transformer got bad. They picked it up and said the transformer is owning 10m. The landlords contributed and bought a new one,cos that particular transformer they repair it every 6 to 1 year and we pay for the repairs. We went to meet the manager negotiated with him. Wrote letter giving the transformer to them, and said they can ho ahead and disconnect those owing. We still settled them with cash oh. But now we have steady light,at least 22 hours of light a day.

  15. It's really worrisome. It has made every effort in staying at home futile. This is just wickedness and insensitivity.Without power, how far can we go in the fight against COVID-19?useless people

  16. No light here, they bring it when they feel like and take it when they want to. We are on prepaid so they should bring the light.

  19. Their pattern here is as thus;
They give us light around 3pm then by 5pm it gone. Then around 8.30-9pm at night they restore it which will last till 5am in the morning (the circle continues).

    1. Are you in Enugu?

This has been the pattern for a few days now and to think we used to have about 20 hours of power supply some months back.

      It's just so exasperating.

      Delete
    2. Noni you're right about Enugu. My area here in enugu, they will give us light from 10am-2pm. Then at night from 10pm-12am. You won't see light again till 10am. But few months back we used to have steady light, I don't just understand anymore and it's really annoying.

Like 18hrs or more a day.
Just the meter reading is crazy.
I burn 4000naira unit in less than 2weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Light in our area is not constant at all. 2-3hrs during the day and 3-4 at midnight.may God help us.

  39. Abeokuta is the worse of them all. IBEDC, what happened? Did we offend you people? Asides from Obada And a few other areas, light in this town is generally poor. In my area, sometimes they bring it for a few hours in the day time and at night when we have all gone to bed. Some days, they might not bring at all. Its not it at all. And it was better than this before now. We've even had low current for about a week now. The fault has been reported and yet we've not seen any technician. It's tiring.

    ReplyDelete
  40. We usually have light maybe bcos we use prepaid meter sometimes we want them to take it so our money won't finish
