Is it true after all when it is said that people perish for lack of Knowledge?
1. Certain State Governors are relaxing lockdown for religious and political reasons
2. The major Christian and Muslim sects are defying Government and holding services
3. Nigerians are colluding with security operatives with exchange of bribes to cross lockdown borders unchecked
4. Markets are defying Government orders and opening to full capacity
5. Rich and so-called powerful men and women are buying their own ventilators and using private hospitals to treat themselves
6. Northern Governors are refusing to lockdown their states
7. Some states are inflating figures to get a share of Government funds.
8. Citizens are using empty streets for exercise, something they never did during the period where the pandemic didnt exist
9. State Hospitals are selling face masks to patients instead of giving them out for free.
10. Nigerians are generally nonchalant about the virus, they dont believe it.
11. Patients admitted are hiding their COVID-19 status and endangering the lives of other patients and medical personnel
12. Despite the huge windfall from NNPC daily, we cant afford or locally construct test kits
So when WHO says they foresee 3m Africans dying in the coming months and Melinda Gates predicting dead bodies in the streets, its foolishness that makes us shout "God forbid!". I have said this before, this is why the Americans left and the Chinese came.
It is wisdom and obedience that makes us prepared and cautious enough to prevent and beat the virus. We are reading stories today about COVID-19 positive patients who mask their status and die in the process while infecting unsuspecting medical personnel and I wonder where we would have been if the Liberian-born Ebola index case just snuck into Nigeria and mingled with the the population in Lagos before he was discovered severally thousands of infected people later.
We are the architects of our own problems starting from the leadership we were too nonchalant to pick during the last elections. We have enabled corruption, inefficiency, we have profiteered from bad systems, unqualified personnel hired on the altar of tribe. We have ripped apart Nigeria for our children and their children and we are here screaming ventilators when our focus in the last four months have been on irrelevant things.
Like the bible says and it rings true of humans and Africans in particular "My people perish for lack of knowledge"

I have been saying these exact things for a while. We are doing nothing to contain this virus in Nigeria both government and we the citizens. If and when corona decides to face this nation I swear millions of humans, birds and animals will be wiped out. Melinda said it exactly as it is.

Americans are the ones who have been sending out these warnings against Bill Gates because they have actually read and listened to his plans for depopulation. Melinda Gates and this writer might be right when it comes to people dying because of the lack of infrastructure and preparedness in Africa, what people were bringing up rightly so have been their past statements to sterilize African women in order to depopulate the African population. Normal people are uncomfortable when people such as these want to give Africans vaccines. Read Robert F.Kennedy’s Jr. warnings on Bill Gates. He is after all a white man, a foreigner...you will believe him.

Ignorance is our greatest enemy here in the North and I'm scared. No proper sensitization whatsoever and half of the population don't have access to Internet. People have to leave their houses to get water and some have to make a long walk. Only God can save us right now but we are in deep shit.

In the face of this pandemic, please how much do you think it would cost the hospital to purchase those personal protective equipment? Or are you not aware that those equipments are almost unavailable now and very expensive when you find them to buy? Please just lose yourself sometimes to find out the reason behind others actions. However, Nigeria must adopt stricter measures to shut down this pandemic. How did other countries get overwhelmed with corona virus? They weren't proactive and left certain crucial decisions to the last minute, see where they are today. It has been tsunami of deaths.
You still don't get the ripple effect of converging for the burial!! How do you think this virus has been spreading like wild fire? Those who attended the burial are likely to spread it on If they get infected, some of them will embark on trips to other states, some will show symptoms and even go to the hospital and infect innocent doctors/nurses, how about their domestic staff who go to public markets to buy food??
So If you think the only people that will be affected by their stupidity are only those who attended the burial or politicians then you need to start watching the news more and ditch africa magic.
For the records, I believe in God and I am a Christian but I am not a stupid one. I have been praying every day for this pandemic to go away but God has also given me brains so I am taking all the necessary precautions. I am staying safe and will not do anything to put me or others at risk.

ReplyDeleteWhen I see people attacking the Gates, I shake my head. In terms of health, no one has done more for Africa than they have and are still doing. Melinda knew what she was saying, she started a clean water initiative in Uganda where she actually went with local women, fetched water in a 20l bucket put it on her head and walked for 45 minutes back to the village. Just to understand what women go through in that village to get clean water. Imagine walking 45 minute to get water and another 45 minutes back just for a bucket of water. Now ABBA kyari is dead, the truth is if Coronavirus is fully unleashed in Africa then only God can save us. ABBA kyari had the best treatment money can buy in Nigeria but stil died, see the thousands that have died abroad and some foolish Nigerians will say is only rich people that are getting it and hunger will kill them blah blah. As at the last count, 4 or 5 people have died in Lagos that have never travelled out of Nigeria, and were not in contact with known cases which indicates local transmission. I appreciate the power in the blood of Jesus but let's think through what expert have seen and are saying about the virus not that you castigate them while pleading the blood of Jesus. China did 1 child policy by the government through laws but not through illegal vaccination of the people under the guise of helping them. That's the difference. Nigeria can make laws to limit population growth but not a wealthy whiteman coming to test vaccines on helpless Africans under the pretense of helping them.
