    3. Davido must have been high on some expired crack when he wrote that nonsense. I will pretend I did not just read that. If Ghosts were real FELA would've slapped him out of existence.

  17. What happened to good music? ASA nko? Anyways what do I know...you people rate music according to hits and not if it soothes your soul. Asa's music still resonates till today but no... na noise makers una prefer.

Enjoy 'I look into your eyes, and all I see is your waist' lyrics ๐Ÿ™„

    1. I also love Asa songs and she is so underrated. She is one of the best musicians in Nigeria. 'Jailer' is my best of all her songs.

  20. Y’all can talk about Fela and Tuface from now till when Jesus comes(I love him very much,he’s fam)but the heights these two have attained,Tuface didn’t.These boys have pulled thousands of crowd in countries we’ve never heard before and sold out stadiums in the west. There will be the talk about social media being more prominent now versus then and I agree but still, look at the numbers of these dudes and how well they’ve made use of the so called social media.Everyone knows their music everywhere in the world and that takes them above the league of the former.Argue

    1. Anon, even Ighalo is making more money from football than Pele ever did. Does it make him greater than Pele??

  22. I'm not a Yoruba person but to me is fela and sunny Ade.after them is tubaba. my own opinion tho.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Did He say "of all time'? mbanu...i disagree. Agreed they are great, like real great...but not the greatest of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. They are all commercial artists. There is NOTHING about their art/music that can be compared to the timeless music of FELA, LAGBAJA, SUNNY OKOSUN, MARK OKRI... Even 2BABA is light years ahead of them...

They are only blessed to be in this age of technology where it is easy to be heard and seen. Yes they make more money but that is where it ends. No one will be listening to their songs in the next 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lol we shall know in the next 30 years, not now.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Great ke, when there is fela, Ebenezer Obey, sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, two baba, psquare them, abegi this one's still de nursery class jor.

  27. FELA, WIZKID AND DAVIDO are the GOATS of NIGERIAN MUSIC, because THEIR MUSIC HAVE SPREAD FAR ACROSS THE WORLD AND OUTSIDE AFRICA!!!
TuFace, Sunny Ade,Lagbaja DID NOT, CANNOT AND WILL NOT REACH THE HEIGHTS THAT WIZKID AND DAVIDO HAVE! PERIOD!
TuFace is a great artist, but HIS IMPACT IS HIGHLY OVERRATED! PEOPLE OUTSIDE NIGERIA IN 2020 ARE NOT CHECKING FOR TUFACE!
PEOPLE OUTSIDE NAIJA IN 2020 KNOW FELA KUTI, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW TUBABA OR LAGBAJA OR KSA.
This does not mean that Davido and Wizkid are BETTER artists than KSA and Tuface, far from it. It just means that they are BIGGER. BIGGER and BETTER don't mean the same thing! Madonna was bigger than Whitney and Aretha combined, but Whitney and Aretha were much better artists than her: thats why they had Grammys and she doesn't.
So please, remove the SENTIMENTS and look at the STATISTICS!

    1. Anon you know nothing. King Sunny Ade has been nominated for 3 Grammy awards. Has done movie soundtracks for Hollywood and even had a cameo in a Richard Gere movie. Read book you no go gree

  28. Trendy artists/ mumble singers are not legend material!!..
Fela was my father's generation & till this day, artists all over the world are still drawing inspirations from his work...
10years from now, nobody will really remember the guy that sang shekpe& Ojulegba as their music lacks depth& not futuristic at all ..
Can their work really inspire the new generation of artist? I don't think so...
But, I still like you Davido..
    Chizzy j..

  29. Ojuelegba is a classic, I'd like to believe it will remain classic for a long time. Davido's Aiye is also a classic.

  30. This is why I love Davido. He is humble and feels no beef against Wizzy. And that Burns boy has done nothing but disrespect Davido. Always wanting to place himself at par with Wiz. Served him right d shots he got today. Nonsense and ingredients. Nos dnt lie and Davido has got nos to show. Even if some dnt like to admit it. Wizkid has succeeded in making himself an enigma cos he refrains from joining nonsense talk in public. That's what he has got going now. Nothing mega abiut his music these days

  31. Do folks know Sunny has won Grammy Awards, Fela Kuti not only won Grammys but is the only African Musician to be on broadway though posthumously? These ones no offense sing “Bugatti, Ferrari”, “assurance” and some young people say they are GOATs in Nsina music? Sunny is close to 75 and still sings coherent songs “not holding crutch and singing Lamborghini type of songs”. Nigeria really has deteriorated! Ever heard of Sunny Onosun, Christy Essien, Oliver De Coque, Ebenezer Obe, etc that really play music? We need history in the School curriculum fast!
