    1. hypocrisy and judgemental (5/6), entitlement mentality, never minding their own business, judging a book by its cover, abusive and evasive etc. One reason I don't hang out with much Nigerians

    2. Most of you mistake saying the truth for what is as being judgmental YES someone has to call you out for your BS and once it doesn’t sit well with you it becomes a case of being judgmental or Hating.

For that one, count me out abeg!

    4. A lot of people aside Nigerians eat weird food combinations and I sit on top of that table. I have a thing for ogbono, okra and egusi soup all mixed together and that must go with eba.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Unnecessary shouting. You will be having a decent conversation with someone and when they are not comfortable with your opinions, they start shouting unnecessarily. Hypocritical attitude, Many Nigerians often openly condemn people over the same thing that they themselves do secretly. Also not minding our business too. I posted a couple's picture (that just got married),on my WhatsApp status and congratulated them. This guy just replied in capital letter "When are u getting married too?" This is someone that we don't really talk o.

  35. Unsolicited advise ni o...hmmm...

Before covid 19, there is this friend of mine who is into a small business and was always advising me at every slight opportunity to resign from my job and start a business too. All because my job is time consuming as a banker.
She would jokingly insult me even in d presence of other friends that the job owns my life, she does not admire my lifestyle, she can never be like me,i should be my own boss,i should stop living my life for my employer, i should stop wasting my time e.t.c.
It was quite embarrassing, but I didn't let it get to me, because the focus was there...
So, covid 19 came and it drastically affected her business. She is so heartbroken right now and she has been lamenting, telling me that I am very lucky i have a job at this period.

She is even demanding that I borrow her money, stylishly telling me that everyone has been supporting her, so i can also support...

The fact that she could even approach me for money still baffles me.

I'm thankful, that I didn't let her control my life for me.
I will def start my own businesses someday, but it'll be at my own pace not hers...

  36. Speaking loudly and fake accent.

That fake accent wears the crown of most annoying things some Nigerians do.

You don't have to fake an accent for people to understand your English, all you need do is to learn to pronounce words correctly.

By the way, faking of accent is not posh.

  44. But sometimes people give advice because they don't want you making mistakes or stuff like that, I don't think it's necessarily annoying..
Like sometimes people make mistakes and they will be like “but no one told me it should be this way, if someone has told me it will be this way I wouldn't have made this mistake”
Me I love when people advice me, I dump some that are not good and take some that are beneficial and my life has been thriving, the irony is that I rarely give advice
I think we should only filter bad advices and not altogether be irritated by unsolicited advices
