    2. They have different goals, different interests. So even "The lord" can smell a rat and is so handicapped to do something about a situation preventing Him(The Alpha and Omega) from spreading? So God is that dependent on humans bah? God smells a rat and can't squash it? He NEEDS congratulations b4 He can truly feel like God?

Maybe that is the definition of God of Oyedepo people shout about. Not the Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent.

    1. But people can go pushing and shoving in banks and market places ba? people can go to work? your hatred for christians is so evident, not you stella, but most people on this blog. A church can control the number of people that will gather but others cannot. Jesus is coming soon and you think its all about money. Ifeel sorry for you, until all your rights are taken from you then you will know how serious it is. life is spiritual. some of you woke christians better start reexamining your life in christ.

    5. Anon 09.17, yes Jesus is coming soon. How often do you study your Bible, spend time meditating on the Word, keep the commandments? Are you aware that you are the church? Are you aware that You are the Bible an unbeliever reads?
This time you spend crying wolf, perhaps you could use it to ponder on these words...

    6. Anon 09:17 if people can live without money or food and the society was cashless they would gladly not go to the market or bank. In a society where system works, you can order groceries online and have them delivered to your doorsteps and you pay with your card so you you dont really have to go out.
Is going to church a necessity? Note that i did not say "serving God, praying to him or worshipping him" i said GOING TO CHURCH. Why assemble people in a place in this pandemic? WHY?! Please let's try to use our brains sometimes and leave sentiments aside.

    7. TB Joshua is not of God so your friend better stop listening to him. performing miracles is not a sign that he is of God because even in the kingdom of darkness they do magic. he should look for another bible believing church to attend when lockdown is over

  4. Honestly I'm kinda disappointed at Papa, he should have just kept quiet about this whole thing, christianity is already experiencing enough ridicule in Nigeria already, this just adds to it. Baba Adeboye hasn't said anything other than preaching faith and hope since all this started and thats how it ought to be.

    1. Which Papa. Is your father not at home?
Some of you worship pastor more than the man that fathered you.

      Delete
    2. Who told you Adeboye has not said anything? Before the lock down Adeboye claimed anyone that dies from corona virus is the will of God. Was that not an insensitive statement? Instead of using their platform to prevent the spread by admonishing their members to stay safe their concern is tithe, seed sowing, offerings et al at the expense of gullible members. These business men that only see doom in Nigeria is only interested in your money not your safety or spiritual advancement. Enough said I am going back to my Anglican roots where there's genuine love and care. Desole to offended general overseers worshippers.

    3. Exactly. Sometimes, silence is golden. His comment actually made the ridicule on churches to continue.

    4. you think Anglican is what will take you to heaven? are you born again? are you living in sin? you go to Anglican but continue fornicating, adultery, homosexuality etc and you go to hell straight. it is not about which church, yes go to a bible believing church but also make sure you have a personal relationship with God. the danger with some of you in Anglican, catholic who think you are in real churches is that you just sit in church 1 hour and you are out. no building of your christian life to help you grow. there has to be a balance which is why the Pentecostal church started because they are more bible based however it has to be the pure word and not just prosperity and self. like it or not if you have are truly born again you will tithe and give offering and also give others. you are a blessing as a christian to bless others and advance the kingdom of God. so if you like run back to anglican, if you truly do not know christ then you are worse off

    5. Anon 11:41, you know nothing. Now I didn't say that cos I'm in support of any denomination, I'm saying it cos the level of your dense kind of arrogance is overwhelming.

      Delete
    6. Anon 11:41 hope after condemning the mode of worship of catholic and anglican, you are really keeping the 10 commandments in your bible believing church? Church and what you do there ain't saving anybody if you're not practising the way of the Lord hope you know?

  5. Hahahahahahaha
One thing is clear, tithes and offerings will not be business as usual. Members are wiser now.

  9. That comment from Bishop Oyedepo wasn't a good move if I am to say. At this point in time, safety should be our major concern and not gathering together. Government efforts shouldn't be sabotaged for any reason. Whether we go to church or not won't stop God from being God. It's just a matter of time all this things happening now will be a thing of the past and the church will have all the time they want to congregrate.

    1. I told my Muslim colleagues when they closed down the Mosques...

That, is it not when we are alive that we can worship God together? They said yes...

Pastor should be preaching salvation, forgiveness, etc.

  10. Sincerely, I hardly comment on these church issues because of the 'touch not my anointed'.

I will continue to say this, Wisdom is profitable to direct.

We are too religious in Nigeria that we fail to see these things even when so glaring.

    1. Our *Misknowledge* about the 'Touch not my anointed' has done more harm than good. We really need to know and read our Bible. Not just that, we really really need to understand our Bible too.

That verse has caused a lot. Will just stop here.
