  3. That’s sad, Jules baby.

This just reminded me of a conversation between a colleague and myself Years back. He tried his best to convince me to get pregnant for a caucasien so I can havé bi-racial kids. I laughed so hard because he doesn’t the magnitude of what he is saying. First, I’m not tripped about whitey. Secondly, according to history, biracial kids have no strong bearing on either side of the race hence they feel less accepted and stigmatized to an extent. The whites see them as lower than them, the blacks sometimes, perceive them to be too white due to their skin color. In the end, they are more likely on their own then with any race.

For me, I wouldn’t want to put anyone through such complexity. Ain’t worth it.

    2. Something drake echoed when he said starting his career he was not white, but was seen as being not black enough. Imagine the burden of not knowing and trying to find where you belong.

    5. Infamous Bar , yes we are regarded as black on certain occasions.
I’m biracial and I’ll tell you it’s not exactly easy especially amongst certain black people .
I’ve been told I’m not black enough and at the same time I’m not white enough .
I can barely give hair advice without being called out ,for some reason if you don’t have type 4 hair(especially 4B or 4C) you don’t belong in the natural hair movement . We do get sideline a lot

  5. Thank you for this! People don't talk about it but this here is another issue that needs addressing. It's so hard because no one accepts you completely. However, sometimes most people don't know the right term and they don't call you half-caste to berate you though. Don't take it to heart.

No one told her that... she enjoys being bi racial because in her local Ghana it opens doors cos they are classed as really exotically beautiful and prettier than full blacks.
This one is only seeking attention at all costs.

    6. You can only say this because you are not in her shoes. I am a mum of Bi-racial children and Juliet is right because my children experience such

    7. Very true,I have biracial children too and it' offs' me all the time when educated people or people who ought to know better ask ' are your children half-life caste?'.

    8. Anon14:24, you must be overseas because proximity to whiteness is very highly valued in Ghana.

  7. Cookie, a lot of people who are mixed have complained and shared their stories. What's to say she has not experienced same?

  10. Abegi nor be for Africa, even with black americans that are bi or multi racial versus darker skinned people, they get better treatment, hence the reasons for many of them bleaching theIr skin with tablets abegi make we hear word. For africa wey dem dey pet them, and doors dey open anyhow for them more than darker people. Please the opposite of what she is saying is the case joor. You wey you go be obroni for ghana

  11. But you’re mixed race and not full black na, abi what am I missing? Why don’t you tell white people that you’re full white? Or tell middle easterners (your other heritage) that you’re full middle eastern and not less middle eastern than them

    1. AdaBekee ,if you don’t understand the struggle of biracial/multiracial people there’s no point being dismissive .

    2. É get who no struggle? Is it full black people that don’t have struggle? Multiracial people that are constantly elevated above full blacks and you’re here telling me about struggle?
I just said the obvious truth and asked pertinent questions. Why do mixed race people always want to assimilate as full black but their mouth no dey reach to tell whites or Indians or Lebanese to accept them as full white/Indian/Lebanese? Or do you want to dismiss the whole +/- 50% genes that came from the parent of the other race?
I would go into the whole politics of it but I don’t have strength to type.
If you’re multiracial, you’re exactly what you are. No need beating about the bush.

  12. Me i don't know whether to call it a problem or does anyone feel same way. I have no romantic feelings towards white men, even when watching their love movies i don't develop that type of feeling,i like their beauty nothing more, only black/biracial men looks real or appeals to me, it bothers me sometimes because no matter how a pure white man preaches love to me, i feel nothing
