Dbanj Petitions IGP Over Rape Allegations Pinned On Him By Miss Seyitan

Popular Musician Dbanj has petitioned the Inspector General of Police to look into the Rape Allegations pinned on him by One Miss Seyitan ......

After he Posted this on the Social media on Saturday,Miss Seyitan also posted a letter from her Lawyers demanding for a public and private apology concerning the alleged Rape...

Dear members of the public,
.
.
Our attention has been drawn to the false allegations purported by Benjamin Ese and Aunty Seyitan who labeled our client, Nigerian musician Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo professionally known as Dbanj a rapist.
.
.
Prior to the widespread of the deep-seated lies targeted to taint the image and reputation of our client- Dbanj, as an organization we have a strict policy of ignoring clout chasers and cyberbullies and we refrain from engaging with them, but not this time.
.
.
This is a calculated attempt to ruin Dbanj's long-standing character and career, as well as disrupt on-going plans for his 40th birthday and album release. Not to talk of devaluing and trivializing the conversations that are currently being held to emancipate and tackle the challenges faced by the girl child.
.
.
On behalf of our client D'banj, the management of DKM would like to reaffirm zero tolerance for any kind of sexual abuse and particularly frowns at any action that exploits women and the infringement of their rights. We strenuously deny the rape allegations and express our sincerest apologies to rape survivors and victims of this dastardly act.
.
.
As of now, our legal team are fully involved and will address this matter with the necessary legal actions in pursuance to the full extent of the law to ensure that this malicious act of blackmail and character defamation does not occur again.

We understand that this is causing huge concern. However, an internal investigation has been launched and we assure the public that we are taking this matter very seriously to establish the details.
.
.
We still say NO to Sexual Violence, Racism, and Tribalism.

  5. Thats how some powerful men operate. That is why i stay silent and move forward with my life. I was molested by a pastor at 16, harrased again by boss at 21. I was raped by a powerful man in Nigeria. I blamed myself for everything.

I am proud of those who are able to speak up. I can't imagine reliving the ordeal. Who will believe me? I am not even strong enough to handle all this back and forth with police.

I pray we all get justice. If not from the world. I know God is faithful and will wipe the tears away

To all the rape victims. Its not your fault, you will be alright. You will succeed in life. Keep your heads up

    3. 1 million hugs anon 11.58 🤗

God will not allow them to get away with it but how many more women apart from you have they gone on to do it to. It’s sad.

It’s the stress and wahala of police and questioning that keeps victims silent. Powerful rapists are able to take advantage of this and have lawyers, police and even fans/followers to support them. Even in the western world where there is a bit more support for victims, they struggle to come forward. It is well.

    4. Hmmm this is sad .
Thank God for the grace to move on, God is a just God , whether you call them out or not , their evil towards you would surely be punished .

    5. Anonymous 11:58 that's the spirit. Keep your head high. You shall overcome.

Yes going back & forth with the police, being under the radar of the world, chastised, blamed, threatened, cursed at, shamed, bullied, gossiped etc is not an easy burden to bear. That cross is a very heavy one. Some of us can't go through that.

But hey babygirl, sweetheart, pumpkin, sugar pie, sweetie pie, be strongggggg. You've made it through these years , so you can still make it. Keep your head high, let it be your motivation to succeed against those odds. God no dey sleep.

  7. Like they say, silence sometimes speaks volumes. This girl is not just calling Dbanj out but his formal manager, Franklin, his girl friend, one lady called oyinda and the hotel even though the hotel kinda denied the allegations which may be because she did not report to the management ( who knows). But why are the rest not saying anything? If someone is accusing me of being a witness or that a know something about a crime and I am innocent I will shout from the roof top and clear my name.
Mr Franklin and the rest, if this story is true, you probably have kids or plan to. You have sisters and women around you please do not inherit generational curse upon yourself for a crime you are not directly involved in. And if the girl is lying too, do not let an innocent man suffer for what he did not do.

  8. What if he is innocent. It's better to hear from both parties before we make our conclusions cos there are three sides to every story, his side, her side and the truth. I am not in support of rape but these allegations need to proven. I want justice served. But we know nothing until we know the truth.

    1. If it's true let it affect his marriage and life and every punishment a rapist deserves should be his lot. Do you know the extent of ruin rape have caused the victims? Some of them will never be fulfilled in their marital life due to the rape experience. He should have known better before involving himself in such a shameful and disgraceful act. I cant imagine myself living with a rapist horseband. Real men dont rape Animals are better than rapist. Nonsense

  14. I was almost raped when I was 6years old.The young guy held me down and covered my mouth from shouting. Luckily for me before he was able to penetrate, someone opened the door and saw him,he ran away. Fast forward to 2011,on my way going back to school, we were attacked by armrobbers on the highway.4 of them raped me and deflowered me including some other girls. Initially I didn't want to tell my parents, but I was persuaded by my best friend to tell them after 2days.my mum went berserk on hearing the news that she was hospitalized. After going for hiv/aids test and hepatitis, I was clean. unknowingly,i already conceived including the rape trauma. I missed out of school including my 2nd mbbs because of it.my family insisted on terminating the pregnancy and I have no say because I was 17yrs old. I almost died when trying to terminate it surgically but thank God I survived it. On returning back to school after 7months,i discovered that a coursemate was raped and killed too. I drew hope that I'm still alive but up till this day I'm still a shadow of myself. I can't talk in public, I can't even defend myself when I'm asked a question even when I know the right thing to say. I still experience bouts and bouts of panic. I don't associate with people.i still wonder how I was able to graduate from medical school and defending the course too.#RAPE IS EVIL! IT DESTROYS PSYCHOLOGICALLY and EMOTIONALLY. Stella please do not post if I'm not anonymous. Thankyou

    1. Exactly. Even Harvey Weinstein hired lawyers, spies and other professionals to discredit, destroy and distract his victims but because the American system is better, the truth still came out- he was found guilty of 2 out of five counts. O.J Simpson also pulled a lot of drama and got the best lawyers. He did not serve the time but people aren't stupid- we all know he got away with murder. What Harvey's case means is that 5 out of many more cases had some sort of evidence that prosecutors could work with and of those five, the jury were swayed by only 2. That is how difficult it is to get justice in a system that works not to talk of the joke that Nigeria has become where a phone call of Dino Melaye telling the judge he will bribe hee in dollars and employ her daughter is not enough to send him to jail. Where orji uzo kalu can saunter out of jail because of a technicality despite being an armed robber.

It is most unfortunate that Bible-spewing hypocrites claim Buhari bribed his way through the courts but expect the same corrupt system to deliver justice for a crime that takes time and healing to report.

You claim Nigeria is irreversibly ruined but want it's corrupt system to deliver justice? Just like Busola Dakolo, this woman named names and have a clear account but because you don't want to edit your playlists, you start asking for DNA from years ago?

There is a rapist in every zip code. In every Coe we of the world. Women, men, children and even old people are brutalized in this power show called tape. I hope if it comes knocking, you get more empathy than you have shown.

  17. The tongue is a dangerous organ. The curse of an innocent follows the perpetrator.
Sometimes we see people suffering from some illnesses we feel sorry for them.
Only they know what they did to some people that brought about these illnesses.
God takes care of his own. Curses are real.
I am a victim. I cursed the perpetrator immediately he was done. He is on his death bed now. Bedsores eating up his body.

  19. This letter implies whatever they had was consensual. That's what they always claim.
At least, he's not saying he's never heard of her before. Unfortunately, this will only put a small dent on his character. This is Nigeria, after all. My prayer is still for the victim to find closure.
No, I don't believe she's lying. Whatever happened between them, she did not want it to happen.

  21. It was a very sunny day... I met a new friend a doctor. He called me I should come and visit him.. He stays on top of hospital . I got there smiling we exchanged pleasantries and he just closed the door.. At first I did not suspect anything but when I looked I could no longer find the key that was when it dawned on me... This was 3 story building hospital . I ran into the bathroom no lock.. I brought knife he said he will kill me and rape me more, I tried jumping down from a the balcony but I remembered my parents, my poor father will die of heart break.. This doctor raped me four times with threat of killing me I dare tell anybody... I cried till I no have tears in my eyes.. I considered committing suicide in several occasions but I kept seeing my parents face . This rapist was knife raping me all through..he seized my phone and after the ordeal gave me back my phone...then waited till late evening told me to dress and smile when passing the nurses still holding knife at my back .. For 1 week I didn't attend lectures I could not sleep.. I keep telling God if I survive this ordeal I won't visit a man ever again.. God was faithful . I am married but still scared of having sex... This is the 7th year and counting . I don't remember the doctors name.. But I hope he gets what he deserves.. I hope I can find closure typing this..

  22. This is really sad. Teejay made a comment recently and was bashed for it. In light of this, I have to agree with him.

No matter how traumatic a rape is, when it's not reported immediately and the necessary tests carried out, it merely becomes a matter of He said, She said.

Almost all of us will side with the victim but let's not forget the fact that women lie. The only thing that can hold water in a court of law is evidence. Without concrete proof, the only dent rape accusations will make will be reputational damage and doubts. May God heal all rape victims and may all perpetrators and rape apologists and enablers meet their waterloo

  24. Most guys are entitled with women especially those close to them. A lot of ladies have been raped by those close to them...including me. But one keeps quiet because of stigmatization and appears most Nigerians see rape as no issue especially when it's someone you know and is close. They don't take no as no.
