LET GO!


Human beings living and carrying on business together must inevitably step on each other’s toes at one time or the other. Some people have however become professionals in hurting others and would never apologize; others would let you know the reasons why you should not be angry even on your own right. The truth remains the closet people to us hurt us the most.

It is challenging to forgive wrongs and offences not to even talk of forgetting. Although Forgiveness is essential to moving forward but also very important is learning from every offence or mistakes that has made you cry.

The pain, mistakes, offences, wrong choices you are holding on to is pulling you down, preventing you from looking at the beauty that lies ahead. We must make a conscious effort to shed the old or the past making a way for new and better things. No matter how the lock down has affected you, your business or job remember life goes on so should you.

You might have been in an abusive relationship, might have made the wrong choices, lost a loved one, a job, been offended, betrayed, cheated on or misinterpreted. Experiencing heartbreak let it go. Beyond the bend the road goes on.

I remember one relationship I was holding on to for so long even after the guy had broken up with me, I was so scared of moving on without him. 


It was so bad that one day the guy introduced me to his friend as a girl passing through issues and he was trying to help me. I still no get sense until I organized a birthday party for him and I was the errand girl in the party while he showcased his new girlfriend that day. Then finally I gathered the strength and sense to let go. Thank God I did, I am married today and he isn’t. 

Whenever I remember how foolish I was, I feel like giving myself a dirty slap. It is so strange how important we see people because we love them, when the love dies they become very ordinary persons.




Chai,you just reminded me of Nndi,my first love,now that Police and thief eyes i dey use look am but he used to be my King until the love died...Mscheeeeeeeeew...lol

TEEJAYS CORNER

SURVIVING EMOTIONAL BROKENNESS.


Over two decades ago, we lost a member in the family. He was the eldest in the family. It was so painful at the time knowing he was just a youth. He had a fiancee then who loved him so much and could do anything to see him live. When he passed on, mom became a shadow of herself as she always recount how he was her first fruit and considering the circumstances with which he died.


Barely one month of mourning, the fiancee passed on too. She was pregnant for him at the time and went with the baby. Another pain again in mom's heart. Before then, she often say how she can't live alone in this life without him. According to report, she fell ill and died. I guess the shock and trauma of it all led to her death. What a life!!!!


Emotion is one of the strongest battle one face in life. When people grieve, every sense of reasoning has been lost as we often see them do unimaginable things.The heart has been broken. A woman I knew became mentally unstable after the death of her husband. I've also seen people whose life never remain the same again after losing a loved one. Their world ended that very moment and some became depressed. Sadly, some eventually died as a result of the pain and shock of it all.



As a family, we promised ourselves to look after Mom and Dad but most especially Mom. We all sticked together and make sure we provided for her all she will need and what a first son would have done for a mother so she won't feel the loss anymore. Though it wasn't easy, took time but eventually it did work out. We never let her stay alone for once. We monitored her actions and always find a way to brighten her mood. She eventually overcame the trauma.


Most times all you need do is to look out for your own people, friends and associates who are grieving and might be at the verge of giving up in life. Some depression, mental cases and even death could have been avoided if truly we stood by people going through excruciating pains in life.


Don't assume they will be fine in no time, for we are all wired differently and some may not have the mental strength and capacity to quickly move on in life over a loss. Some broken heart could be so difficult to heal on their own. Always remember that, life happenings can even break the most strongest of people on earth.
