DeleteIn my place we all is agidi.
ReplyDeleteThe English name is corn jellos.
Corn jellos with vegetable soup is bae or try it with fresh okro soup mad oh.
Yes I love it with okro soup but you see that eko and vegetable stew known as efo, l hate that shit because of secondary school. The way they cooked it in my boarding school then made me hate it.
DeleteI like agidi jellof but it’s been long l took it last.
Eko tutu, I love this but its hard to find the one hygienically made, and I don't know how to make it
ReplyDeleteCheck YouTube. It's easy to make.
DeleteI love taking it with milk and cold water. It is very easy to make, just the same way you make pap but you cook it a bit and make it get cold.
DeleteNote:you use white maize
Cold pap
ReplyDeleteCorn pudding
ReplyDeleteEku oyiwu in ebira
ReplyDeleteCooked corn starch ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteAgidi!!
ReplyDeleteI've searched for it everywhere in this out obodo lafia, what they sell here is madidi and it's a bit different from agidi
I doubt you can get it in that Lafia, they lack so many things in that state, if you have people coming from Abuja or if you go to Abuja, buy it in bulk and store in the fridge! That’s how I do whenever i am visiting there
DeleteYou can make it yourself with white corn. The same way you make pap, just that you will cook it a bit and allow it to cool down.
DeleteMust English have names for everything?
ReplyDeleteDo they eat our agidi?
What is Igbo or Yoruba name for pizza or their burger?
Agidi don't mind them o. You are our own (with real egusi onugbu or okoro soup). Don't mind those copycat Nigerian girls that drag their pizza with them.

DeleteIt was an acquired food for us in PortHarcourt, so we called it the acquired name Agidi but you see we had a special one made called Agidi jollof. They added stew to it when making it so it came out like pink almost like a jollof rice version. It had biscuit bone inside ...... oh my days. Thank fo the memory. I will be thinking about it the whole day ....
ReplyDeleteWhat you just described is bean cake ‘moi moi’ that was misunderstood as Agidi.
DeleteThis Anon knows what they are talking about, Hero.
Delete@Hero, it is not Moi Moi the anonymous is referring to. I know agidi jollof very well. It usually comes with biscuits bone as the anon16:29 as stated earlier.
DeleteAnd that bone inside was everything ๐
DeleteWe had a lady back then who made it specially for us ๐
Anon you're bae ๐ @16:29
The English name is corn pudding
ReplyDeleteWe call it "Eko" in Yoruba language
In my place we add all kinds of seasoning and brisket bone stock when preparing it. Very delicious something. It is still called agidi.
ReplyDeleteWe call it eko in Yoruba land. I love taking mine with vegetable soup, akara, moi moi, milk and cold water. The taste with milk and cold water is divine and so refreshing.
ReplyDeleteCaked pap๐๐
ReplyDeleteAgidi
ReplyDeleteIt's called "EKO" in my language.(YORUBA).I love it with moi-moi and Akara.
ReplyDeleteAgidi
ReplyDeleteCold pap ๐๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteEko I think.
ReplyDeleteIt's tasteless though ๐๐
I'm with you on this Waju..We call it Who and it's tasteless. It has this bland taste. I could only take it by breaking / crushing it up, then add sugar, miklk and cold water. Had it as a child.
