Report Says Nigerian Instagram Celeb Hushpuppi Flaunted Proceeds Of Scam On The Social Media

According to Sahara Reporters...

''The police in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have seized Dh150m -- N16bn -- in cash and more than a dozen luxury cars from Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Raymond Abbas known as Hushpuppi.

In a video shared by the police, officers explained how they arrested Hushpuppi and his gangs, who are accused of Internet scam.

Hushpuppi's principal scam was to create websites that looked identical to well-known companies and banks, it was alleged.

A total of 1,926,400 victims were said to have been targeted by the syndicate in a scheme that spanned several months.

13 luxury cars estimated to be worth over 25 million dirhams -- N2.6bn -- were also seized from the gang.

Police said email addresses of 800,000 potential victims were discovered and that the gang could have scammed as much as Dh1.6 billion from victims.

Officers dubbed the operation Fox Hunt 2 after busting an African cyber crime gang running a similar scam in February 2019, in which Dh32 million -- $8.7m -- was stolen from victims.

Hushpuppi posed as a real estate investor and businessman and boasts of more than two million followers on Instagram''.

Didn't they make him a citizen of Dubai? See this thing is more than the one we are seeing. Why did they make a whole movie about it, is this how they make movie for other criminals. Hushpuppi is part of a big puzzle. Make we dey watch.
But either way hush this is the inevitable end that must happen to most criminal elements

    6. This is the mixture of greed and foolishness....you need to study the lifestyle of white men to understand what wisdom is all about. Majority of the whites and some Africans who are on top today were into one crime or another, from slave trading to robbery, only their children or grand children are socialites, meaning you can't question their source of wealth anymore.
I am not supporting crime in any way, but there will always be two types of criminals, those who steal to enrich themselves and those who steal to define themselves...don''t be the later.

    7. Didn't they make him a citizen of Dubai? He was a resident and not a citizen.

  7. Stella I watched the video and was shocked to my bones eziokwu! Almost two million victims?? Yet he'd come on Instagram flaunting luxuries and giving stupid motivational talks, Sometimes he even attacks some celebrities and call them broke, smh! But people can be daft in this world oo, you scam people off their hard earned money and still come online to advertise your flamboyant lifestyle with no legit job in a country as developed as Dubai bikonu?? Is it the tears of their victims that makes them do the things they do?? The other one, what's that his name?Vindictus or whatever, God knows I don't bloody care what his wicked name is ran to Vogue magazine to get his name on the front page and after some seconds boom!! They tracked him down and the source of his wealth got busted. There shall never be peace for the wicked, may they suffer a double dose of the pain they inflict/inflicted on their innocent victims. As for those shameless Nigerian youths and some worthless celebrities that licked this guy's ass, sang praises and even insulted anyone that questioned his lifestyle all because of his ill gotten wealth, the ones that insulted the legit had workers because of give away and the likes, a big fat SHAME ON YOU, you got zero worth. And trust me, with that warped mindset, you'd live and die a shameless worthless ass licker with nothing to show for in the life that you came to live.

This is majorly the reason why the absolutely rich and exposed ones don't make noise, while the empty ones goes about causing nuisance!! Youccan even experiment by looking into the lives or Nigerian celebrities entrepreneurs etc,I tell you, the difference will always be clear enough for you to see.

  22. Why do some people do this? Why do most lack conscience? Do you have any idea the resultant effect scamming has on people's lives? Like! Do you? Some commit suicide, some die due to HBP. It takes the grace of God to bounce back like my parents did but not everyone is that lucky. This was how my parent was scammed years back. It was like a movie. We went through a whole lot. You have no idea what it means to suffer until you have been scammed of everything. This was 20 something years ago so it hasn't upgraded to this level we have in the society now. I just can't stand people who feel this up there is right. I had to cut off a friend when she started dating someone like him years back. He later treated her like dirt and she cried to me. I asked her, what did you expect?" Someone who doesn't have a conscience will ruin you. What do we expect when society would rather respect those who with ill-gotten wealth irrespective of how the money came about. They would rather worship wealth than those who sweat it out through hard work. I am getting emotional right now. Bye.

  39. Nigerian youths are as intelligent as their colleagues anywhere but bad governance makes a lot feel trapped and hopeless. He could have become a programmer or computer geek with his accomplices! My business account was cloned and defrauded and I lost a lot of money. I stopped visiting some Nigerian sites as I thought I got my cellphone compromised at some point even though the business email and accounts are different. This was in 2017 and the bank had to close my account while we scrambled not to lose EFTs (electronic fund transfers) from businesses we dealt with. The business still lost a lot of money so I limited Nigerian sites I visit to 3, that way I can help FBI to help me more.

I post anonymously as I like my privacy with an iPad not linked to anything in my life or business, have no personal SM page though I knew when facebook started here. I'm not saying my case was due to naija fraudsters as Russians and Eastern Europeans, Asians do such but because I am of naija descent mine was believed to be from a naija fraudster. We are still recovering 3 years after. The stress and PTSD cannot be described. We even told our adult children not to friend anyone with a Nigerian name teaching them Ade, olu, Ola, Nwo,Nji,Jid, etc the common alphabets the names start with unless they are friends here or they schooled together. My point is, folks like these and those who tap into their anointing think it's a victimless crime, it's not.
There are real victims who toiled day and night for the money they lavishly spend!

Same with stealing from government. The victims are the hungry, homeless and unemployed. Looting, yahoo, etc are not victimless crimes. Let us question their source of wealth and shame those who cannot account properly for their flaunted wealth!
Stop "oohing and aahing" their ill gotten wealth. A simple Gucci dress cost about $5000. There are wristwatches and jewelries that cost $500k. That is why corruption has to be stopped by the masses as it will not stop on its own!
Nobody goes around in this country (and I know because I live in an affluent area with neighbors that own Ferraris and yatches), in a Gucci dress of $5000! They may carry an expensive purse, or wear expensive clothing but its understated as most prefer the more expensive but lesser known exclusive designers most Nigerians do not even know of and they do not flaunt. The victims of these wicked souls end up hospitalized in some cases!

Again to the youths, life is a compilation or series of decisions made over years. Choose wisely. "There is a way that seems right but the end leads to destruction". The interesting thing is that its harder work to make money in America as there are no shortcuts but it's doable if you are willing to work hard.In Naija we have almost 7 weeks vacation with the Eid filter, Eid Kabir, Maulud, Election holidays, plus the Christian holidays, May Day, etc, here you are blessed if you get 3 to 4 weeks annually. Never get upset at your relatives here for not calling you frequently or attending your 50th birthday. Travel time is already 2x2 days plus jet lag! Those who are able to travel often work straight 24 hours before or after to catch up. Americans are the hardest working people I have seen having worked briefly in England and France for multinationals. Americans do 18 hour surgery and do it 5 days a week!. Some lower paid ones work 18 hrs daily so how does a man defraud them and end well? I joke with my friends that its only in Nigeria you can sleep poor and wake up rich with government contracts. Here unless you inherit money, or win the lottery, if you see $10k in your account you didn't work for or know the source, report to the bank. It will bring you grief, they will find out and make you pay even if its a glitch in their system!
