Actress Uche Ogbodo Talks About The Highs And Lows Of Single Motherhood.

Enugu state born Nollywood actress and single mother of one, Uche Ogbodo talks about true love and single motherhood....

Uche whose marriage to Apo Arthur crashed in 2013 over irreconcilable differences a few months after, told Inside Nollywood that she wouldn’t mind getting married again so her daughter can have some siblings to play with.

“My baby girl will have siblings soon. I assure you. Watch out. I am still a lover girl as I was a few years ago. It’s only that I am a little wiser and stronger. Now, I am open to finding love again and getting married. I won’t say I have regrets over my past. I only have lessons learnt. Also, I don’t frown at finding love in the industry. If you find your love amongst your colleagues in showbiz, please feel free to nurture it. If I find love here, I will definitely nurture it. But I have never, not yet,” she asserted.

She talked about the high and low moments of single motherhood. Hear her: “The joyful moments we (my daughter and I) spent together, discovering ourselves as she grows up are my high moments. The lows are when I had to cry in my bedroom all alone, praying to God to save me from stress, because I work too hard trying to provide all she needs. It is not easy but I am thankful for grace.”

She also advised single parents striving for survival not to give up. “Know that you have an everlasting love in that child in your arms. It’s love that is pure and true, that never lies nor disappoints; and that will never betray or abandon you. So, cherish the moment in time.”

    2. Anon 12:37. Please don't make excuses for bad character. If she really wants to marry or find love again, she must comport herself well especially publicly and stop sharing semi nude pictures because the internet never forgets and her daughter and family would be embarrassed. Abi would u let ur son marry such. Incase u are uche, please give urself brain. Tenkiu

God bless all the beautiful wise industrious independent and strong single mothers doing it all alone gracefully and not causing nuisance and annoyance with it. either by sabotaging fathers day celebration to tag themselves father or by tagging themselves King and giving lame, watery and wack excuses like, "I do it all alone" May God always come through for you strong Queens❤️🙏.

  9. Hmmm its not easy at all, I have learnt to deal with shame. I go my way jeje to avoid issues.
Is it the lows I will talk about, I feel as if I should just go somewhere and never come back but when I look at my son, his smiles, his constant questions, mummy how are you, mummy sorry ( he says this when I start ranting). I just know I have to keep on hustling because he is my anchor. I am proud to be called a mother whether single mum or not, I am not ashamed anymore. He who wears the shoes knows where it pinches.
Shout out to all single mums out here, God's is our strength.

  13. Not every child will love the parent who sacrificed all for them unconditionally.
    I hope yours does.

There are children that are nightmares to their parent(s) and siblings. Such children resist love and reject discipline. ☹️😥
