. I think when I finlly lose all the weight I will combine the 2 diets into a healthy lifestyle. Bread is amazing but very bad for health and not good for the waistline. It made me fat as hell and swollen as hell. I have a love/hate relationship with bread. Luckily there are healthier low carb bread substitutes in keto diet. You guys better start a healthier lifestyle and maybe growing food in your backyard. It will even help save costs

  3. Stella, the bread price increased during Corona period. Family mighty loaf is 450n. The 250 loaf won't serve a family of 4 satisfactorily.

My family can't do without bread so we keep buying. God shall continue to provide.

Yep, increase in basically everything needed to run a bakery.

  26. I own a bakery. We are struggling with the price of raw materials. A bag of sugar costs 20k. This time last year it was 14k. Do we reduce sugar in the bread? No customers will complain. Or add artificial sweeteners that may cause cancer? Well some of us have conscience. Each loaf of bread, the gain has dropped from 20 naira average to less than 8 naira.

8 naira gain is what we pay salaries from and buy diesel to fuel the gen. Mind you because of the economy, you have to raise salaries and because of how the business is we provide food and sometimes accommodation.

Everyone will feel the pinch of the economy because we refused to go out and vote and allowed Buhari to be president AGAIN after a first term

    1. Make the bread a bit smaller then, but keep the current pricing. Or make a budget sized bread. Make a 'health' bread with less sugar, use the power of marketing. I hate sweet bread anyways. Experiment with perhaps using local flours like cassava to see how it mixes with wheat and perhaps create a new kind of economical bread utilizing more local ingredients.

  27. Bread producers are now on strike, I don't know what our country Nigeria is turning into, so many countries in Africa is now better than Nigeria, giant of Africa have finally turned to ant of Afica

  28. I think people should learn how to bake bread & grow some certain crops at home( very easy), It will save cost too. Nigeria is so blessed with beautiful sunshine. I am in the abroad we are so happy we see this sunshine.

I am addicted to handmade, homemade, organic ( got my Allotment, If you cannot get one, buy allotment Wooden) etc.

I tend to make my own food including spices, and store them with date. It is fun, and my children love it.
