DeleteCeaser, I agree with you 100%, I have a friend who is an only son, the bread winner with 8 sisters cos their dad is late. Four of his sisters are married and so, he is his mothers husband. Any lady preparing to marry such a man should know she can never have him to herself, she must be open minded and know that she is marrying a man who is a father and a husband to his mother and sisters and blend in and be a daughter, a daughter in-law and a wife plus sister too to his siblings. How do you go and except to separate such a man, did you not see their family dynamics. As ladies we must learn to sacrifice too, as long as you are not being maltreatmented. DeleteCenter you are a man, its women who go through this that understands. Siblings are different but most of them tend to rub shoulder with the wife it's there brothers house. Majority don't know their boundaries, and the wife tends to be at the receiving end if the husband is a people pleaser.
DeleteMy sister in-law stayed with me before she got married, despite me being pregnant, I do all the house chores. A girl that I am older than with 5yrs. She calls her people always to tell them of things happening in the house and if any issue arrises between us, she will call her elder bro to come over. I endured all this till she left. I am still left with one of his 32 years old brother who I do everything thing for including sweeping and watching the bathroom he uses. He has nothing doing now, I feed and do all for him, his own is to watch television from morning till night. My husband is the first son and has been enduring too, to avoid people saying he pushed him out.
If you are able to protect your wife fine, but my annoyance is that most men see all their siblings ill behavior and feign ignorant of it leaving the woman to be mrs endurance.
Some siblings are evil, when their brother gets married, they will see the wife as some one that came to take food away from their mouth and start plotting against her. Some even fights for more attention from their brother.
DeleteYou can still love and help them even when you are staying in a separate place. Separating from siblings is still the best for both the husband and wife sanity in marriage, they can visit when they like.

I lived with my brother in law for a few years after marriage was i perfect ? No but he helped us out a great bunch. I agree some family members are terrible but dont go around blowing fire and brimstone especially when its uncalled for.
