DeleteAnyone living to impress friends, street and others is actually a baby in adult clothing.Be you, people will adjust and accept you for who you are at the end.
ReplyDeleteWell said!
DeleteIheme Nancy? Was she a beauty queen?
ReplyDeleteTrue Talk!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been able to save 636.000 naira that I am not touching no matter what but I have also decided to save 68.000 naira every month to add to the 636.000 naira. Once I finish the course I'm doing I want to look for a good paying job so that I can save more. I'm waiting to have at least 10 million naira in savings so that I can invest at least 2 million of it and watch my money grow. I also plan to open an online boutique as soon as I find a good job and move into my new house but I think that there is no age limit to getting your finances together. I'm 30 but I'm just now starting to be financially literate and savvy thanks to reading books about finances and investments. We all should strive to be financially literate and have a stable income. It's very important.
ReplyDeleteππππ
DeleteBeing financially literate & savvy is a personal investment and development itself.
DeleteI have been reading a lot too. I must commend you cuz u are on the right track.
U really don't need to wait till u have at least 10 million in savings b4 u start investing. There are investments of as lil as 5k,u keep feeding it and it grows. Than leaving it in savings especially with the new CBN's announcement on interest rates on savings.
Whenever u choose to invest in, endeavor to do ur Due diligence. Do not invest in what u don't understand. Above all capital preservation is very important.
I wish you all the best in ur endeavors
π
DeleteAbeg shift, busy body. Who ask you all these ones? Some people can barely feed and clothe, not to talk of save. Who no know say savings or investments good... ure here talking like na you smart pass Einstein.
DeleteAnon 23:51 why so bitter? Did anyone steal your money? Just be happy for others and maybe you will receive some blessings too. Jealousy is a stinky disease. Do better.
DeleteAnon 23:51, people who reason like you never grow. Just saying.
DeleteU Dey talk when there are still those in their 50s living like this???
ReplyDeleteTrue talk.
DeleteMy brother is 48, when they say someone is completely useless, even dirty handkerchief has more use than him, he has 2 baby mamas that he cant care for the kids, complete nonentity.. alcohol, womanizer, gossip stupidly, lies up and down, dirtiness, nairabet etc, that is what he lives for.
Keep praying for him...
DeleteNa true talk ooo
ReplyDeleteStella that's a developmental bias of youths in general.
ReplyDeleteThe frontal lobe is not completely developed until the age of 30(i think).
As a result of this, majority of youths are driven by adrenalin, emotions and peer pressure. Only very few take time out to ponder on the effects of their actions. Even the level headed youths suffer from this.
It is a fatal developmental flaw.
Most of us are actually living from hand to mouth even as graduates. People keep emphasising about savings all the time like no be money them they save. How much is the average salary a Nigerian graduate earns...50-100. only few lucky ones earn above this. House rent, bills and sometimes you send monthly allowance home to your aged parents. Life is hard out there if your parents ain't well to do or you not lucky to secure a good job. Happy for those saving... Not really easy for some of us
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, it's well but no matter how little the salary is one should still save a portion of it.
DeleteThat's the excuse we keep giving ourselves. We need to be very deliberate about resources that we do have instead of waiting/planning for resources we don't have.
DeleteI also complain about my money not being enough because of bills and family responsibilities until I really sat down and thought about how I could improve my spending habits.
Hmmmmmmm just thinking
ReplyDeleteLiving to please others is the greatest recipe for destruction.
ReplyDeleteLuke 12:15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed;
ReplyDeletelife does not consist in an abundance of possessions."
The thing is, no matter how much you think you have in this life, there is something that
can happen and you can go to zero in a moment. You can lose your health, you sanity etc.
I've seen people it happened to.
So if you do not have treasures that cannot rot or be stolen and that is in God's Kingdom,
you are nothing! πππππππππππππ
