Mrs Dees Corner - Video Adverts That Catch Your Attention....

Advert don hold you for work before?

Adverts are one of the ways to attract customers to different products and services. And even though some of the qualities or benefits stated to be in the product can sometimes be exaggerated, viewers are already captivated....

Some video adverts are so good that you are literally hooked each time you watch it and even though one may have no need or interest in the advertised product, you can't help giving them a thumbs up for being entertaining and eliciting laughter from those watching while still retaining the interest of the viewers to their products or services.

On the other hand, a haphazard or shoddy advert leaves you wondering on the relation between the storyline and the product.

One company whose advertorials are always a hit back to back and whose directors and producers deserve an award is the call network with the red logo. Their adverts are always unique and captivating with an interesting storyline and it's always refreshing to watch regardless of the number of times.

The Nigerian company popular for their cow produce with a slogan that prompts their consumers to reach for the 'highest point' did a superb job with their daughter-in-law/mother-in-law bond advert and it was a perfect example highlighting uniqueness in differing personalities without causing a strain.

I was left 'ohhing and awwing' at the beautiful relationship between both even with their difference in taste as portrayed in the advert and it left me wishfully thinking it was that perfect in real life.

Even with a truckload of chores to do in the house, there are adverts that make me pause momentarily and smile while watching.

It's like a silver lining in a very cloudy day.

    2. Hun? That singer wasn't Teni Makanaki, she's Omolade Oyetundun. Omo 444.

      Me love the song.

    3. hahahaha xp na tailor i see oh,not teni. I'm sure the person is talking about the latst advert. I so love the 444. Infact all their ads. They always have a story and continuity.

    4. Yes na, I know that's typographical error, she meant Teni Makanaki(Teniola Apata).
Many have been arguing blindly over the same issue. Lade Oyetundun is different from teni.

      Though both are:
      Large
      Dark
      Pretty
      Dimpled
      Sultry singers.

And yes,the same Airtel 444 advert used during the BBNAIJA LOCKDOWN 2020 Show that just ended is what it is.

      Capisce?

  12. Betnaija does the worst advert in the country. The advertising department of that company should all be taken to other departments (I'm careful not to say that they should be fired cos that's what I'll do if it was my company). Thank God the heard the uproar and decided to pull their, "my team is winning" and "mad o" advert and replace it with the Don jazzy and Ebuka advert.

    1. That is not Betnaija please

  14. I love Coca cola adverts. Heavy budget production worth its expenditure.

One that made me over munch was the Cadbury's Chocolate Spread, the advert by Aunty Joke Silva and her kids. The excitement, the laughter, I spread taya.
Wonder what made Cadbury stop the product.

    1. Their products are somehow expensive to the common man tho they are of good quality.Like that chocolate sachet is not really moving cos they increased the price and so people had to switch. This is buhari's regime.

      Delete
    2. Oh so sad. The spread I think stopped before the buhari times.
      Nigeria went 20 years backward.
      #painful
