Reality Star Nina Talks About Cosmetic Surgery And Falling In Love In BBNaija House

Reality TV star Nina said she does not see anything shameful about cosmetic surgery.

The 24-year-old former Big Brother Naija contestant told Saturday Beats, “I am not in competition with anyone over having attractive body features. I would do cosmetic surgery if the need arises; there is nothing shameful about it. It is your body, your money and you should do whatever you want with it. We should learn to celebrate and love ourselves fiercely. People’s opinions do not count when I want to make personal decisions. I did not do anything to get my shape back after childbirth. I guess I am one of the lucky mums to snap back.”

She also maintained that though BBN made contestants popular, what they did after the show was very important in sustaining their relevance. “One needs to work thrice as hard to maintain fame. With the help of God and my team, I have built my brand to a level where I don’t need to seek social media relevance. I like to air my opinions on my platform. I don’t post on social media for any form of validation. As a matter of fact, when people judge me harshly or ‘troll’ me, I just ignore them. Time is money,” she said.

Sharing her thoughts on why some housemates fall in love on reality shows, Nina stated, “Some people have said this last season was not as interesting as the past ones but every season has its own uniqueness. Housemates are not the same sets of people. I believe every season is interesting. Everyone played a game, so there is nothing like being called fake. People need to correct that notion of housemates being fake. It is a game and the contestants went in there with one goal, which was to win. One cannot control love, so there is nothing unusual if housemates fall in love in the house. If it blossoms, it can even lead to marriage.

Relationships on the reality show should not be seen as fake. I don’t think anyone should be criticised for having a romantic relationship on the show. But, we live in a man’s world where women are judged harshly. If the woman is slut-shamed, the man should also be treated the same way.”

  1. True true, last season was not just interesting for me. Maybe because I couldn't just connect with anyone enough to Stan them.

I was just everywhere and nowhere. Teddy A and Bambam have thought me not to judge any relationship in the house. If it's real, fine, if isn't, not my place to tell.

  5. The issue of complete lockdown also made the show boring. No celebrity guests and additional entertainment like other seasons,no Ninjas,no live eviction audience, etc.. grouping the housemates in semi permanent pairs or groups also helps to create drama, that didnt happen. Putting the head of house room away from the main house wasnt a great idea.So many flaws.. hope they do better next year

  6. Thank you Nina, slut shaming only the girl needs to stop. Anything can happen from the relationship in the house, if it didn't lead to marriage, life goes on.

  9. The the thing with cosmetic surgery in Nigeria is after getting work done most are not bold enough to even admit they got work done, look at how Khloe led people astray saying she used supplements to gain weight in the right areas. The ones that are a little bold will just come out and say they had just liposuction meanwhile they had both lipo and fat transfer to their ass or Brazilian butt lift as many will call it e.g Mercy and Nengi. Y'all should just be bold like Nicki and cardi joor own it will your chest.

    1. U are going too far, they should be honest , proud & own it like Toke & Tonto.. whether it’s lipo, transfer, filler ,botox , as long as u added something different from how God created u, it’s body reconstruction, as far as I’m concerned & don’t body shame others when u know u actually went for body enhancements. Allow others stay d way God created them.
