  5. In Nigeria, it's true. They will say he has been jazzed. Personally I see nothing wrong if a man does all of that. I mean it's also part of love, right.

  6. How does cooking the food that you and your wife will eat or even going to the market to buy things or maybe tidying up your very own house affect your dignity as a human in the first place?? Why will it do anything to a man's dignity?? Men with this mentality are usually very difficult people.

  7. False! Some men are helpful naturally.

  8. false though i don't like it when a man takes over cooking and going to the market. It should be as a support from time to time

  9. My husband does all that. In fact, he doesn't allow me to lift any bulky food into the car at all. He cooks, babysits/change diapers full of baby poops, cooks, even serves me.
I hold him in the highest esteem. And please, he is a very comfortable and contented man. 🙄🙄🙄
If any woman demeans her husband for helping her out, that woman has a problem, very big problem.

  10. I dont get why when a woman does the job of a man, she is being hailed and called king but when a man does the job of a woman like baby sitting or as mentioned above, he is being looked down on and belittled. Could it be that the male gender is actually superior to the female gender? Feminists get in here and explain this

    1. Only a fool will look down on such a man. Sometimes it will be his friends discouraging him and giving him bad advice. Sometimes it would be his relatives.

  11. Duh! Hubby handles mostly soups and buys foodstuff sometimes, and also helps with chores. It's life made easy for me.

  12. I wanted to be angry at Stella for asking this kind of question but Iv since realized that there a lot of men that think in the affirmative, thus my opinion:There is absolutely nothing wrong with with helping your wife to get to the market and cooking. She’s a partner not a slave.

  13. False! Its a sign of love and affection. Naija men needs to change this mentality. House chores not meant for women alone.

  17. Absolutely true. What else does he need a wife for if he has to do all these things? I rather remain single forever. It is my responsibility to take care of all your needs as my wife. The home front is completely your business. There are days I may be a bit free and decide to make a special dish. But that is my prerogative. The same way taking care of you isn't negotiable is the same way your being responsible for the home front isn't negotiable as well. Men should stop cheapening themselves all in the name of being romantic.

    4. Hmm! So your wife won't work for her money? She has to depend on you for everything including sending money to her parents? Okay then!

What if she isn't feeling too fine..you won't help?
If she newly puts to bed,you still won't help?? Wow!

    5. Your wife is a help-meet... to help out not to completely take over,if your wife goes out every morning to support you financially, then it's wickedness to allow her do the house chores alone when there's no domestic help.
May the Lord give us wisdom to run our homes.

  18. 😂 What is wrong there? My big brother goes to the market with his wife. He goes when he is coming back from work, stops by to get a few things and on weekends when she is really busy with the kids at home he goes for shopping. What is wrong there? I ask again. The only thing is, he doesn't know how to cook.

  19. It depends on the partner he marries..Some people take advantage of your good o.Some will turn him to a mumu man while some will appreciate him and even respect him more.Life na sense.

Sometimes he washes mine though unknowingly but if or when he finds ....no stress.

  21. Women abuse previledges. I use to do chores in my early years of marriage, the day I skip chores my wife will rant and abuse the hell out of me. She started seeing it as a must and part of my responsibities. I had to discontinue and stood my ground. I only help out when I want to and not when I am forced to.

    3. There was one time my hubby stopped helping me with house chores, probably because there was a day I was overwhelmed and I ranted. It got so bad, he left every thing to me. I did not complain but what I did threw him off balance. I stopped bringing part of the school fees and rent and took just a tiny fraction of that money to get a woman to clean the house and wash clothes. I started having good savings. One faithful Saturday morning, my husband decided to do domestic chores. Hahaha bills wan kill am. He quickly adjust.

    1. Women don't abuse privileges - point of correction. Your wife did. Please refrain from using such statements. You're an adult and it's your duty to keep your house clean not as a man or woman but as an adult.

  23. Those who are comfortable cooking, doing chores and washing pants should keep doing so. Some of us grew in very conservative societies and can't find ourselves doing any of what Stella listed everyday. If for whatever reason she is sick, travelled or held up in traffic why not. Making it an everyday thing is what l can't do. Luckily my wife doesn't even allow me to enter her kitchen when she is not sick and knocked down.

    1. It seems men and women are not agreed on this topic which isn't a surprise. However the amount of ladies who said false should alert them to how some women feel about this. Some may not say anything, especially those who are subservient already and are used to that lifestyle.
