    1. Produce your own film
From there they will start giving you good roles to act.

  8. πŸ˜‚ This is funny but not funny. Help his career na.

Our film makers be playing safe with characters, they don't want to experiment, hence when they see one who can interprete a particular role well they nearly choke them with that role and others follow suit. That's why it seems he's only getting gate man role.

    1. Exactly. For example I enjoy Adesua when I see her playing challenging roles and not those milk and butter roles.

    2. Oh Heavens! God bless you real good @G wagon.

I've been looking for a way long time to pour my anger and irritations on Mide husband stereotyped roles in that Yorubawood movies.

God! I always feel likw flogging tbe living daylight out of him each i accidentally watch Yoruba movies.

Infact, he was the first petson that came to my mind when i saw this post.

Thank God i have a like mind in you that sees this same annoying thing!

How could someone be acting the same stupid/ tasteless, over used same roles since 1900 till date.

Who even told him that that role was even funny in the same place?

And Mide that appear "Soji" couldnt even see or think to that direction concerning his type cast roles!

      God forbid!

    3. Great directors know how to stretch an actor, however the actor must have talent as well. You can't give what you don't have. Perhaps they should try him out in other roles and he should also keep practicing and audition for other roles.

  16. That's Nigerian movies for you...
I pray you have enough money to produce your own movie and give yourself the role you want.
Rita Dominic did just that in the meeting while Kiki also did her own triller movie.

I guess must of the producer are playing safe but we the viewers are even tired of their ways.

  17. Simple solution. Write your own roles then.

  18. I honestly didn't find anything funny about it. I hate when actors get typecasted. But actors have to be their own advocate and fight for their career.

I read an article the other day where Matthew McConaughey said he gave up a 9 million dollars pay day to star in a romantic comedy. He said he had gotten sick of them and did not want to be typecasted, so he rejected the project and pursued more dramatic roles which led to him receiving an Academy Award and getting even more money to do more complex roles.

Sir, you have to stand up and fight for yourself. Don't limit yourself to Nollywood either. Another Black Panther movie will be filmed, think big and aim high. Do your own productions. You can raise capital through crowd funding, but make the change you want to see.

  19. But his disability will not allow them to cast him as a responsible man na. We all know how it goes with the movies

  20. But the gate man role really suits him πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, he should start rejecting the role when offered
