Nigerian Police Deny Crushing Mother And Child To Death And Offer Explanation Of What Happened

I saw the video of the crushed Mother and daughter and I am still in shock..............

The Delta State Police Command has said cops from the Ebrumede Divisional Headquarters were not involved in the unfortunate incident that led to the death of a woman and her baby on Wednesday in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Police made the assertion in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya.

DAILY POST reports that a mother and her child were allegedly crushed to death by policemen chasing some suspected Yahoo boys

According to the Police, “The accident involved a Mercedes Tipper with Reg. No. WWR 425 ZR loaded with granite, a Toyota Camry car with Reg. No. AKD 403 FM and a Tricycle Reg. No. yet unknown, all moving in the same direction and Police vehicle was never involved.

“Two passengers conveyed by the Tricycle a woman and a baby girl died on the spot and other passengers were injured.”

“The Police Command deeply sympathizes with the families of the deceased and the injured persons and equally frowned at the unjust treatment meted to Police officers who went to rescue the victims by members of the public.

“They went as far as burning the Police patrol vehicle that came for the rescue operation. The Perpetrators of this dastardly act will be brought to book.

“The Command also wishes to inform the general public that neither Operation Delta Hawk nor Ebrumede patrol vehicle was involved as speculated earlier.”

  2. They should be given life sentences. Is it the job of the police to chase after internet fraudsters?

  3. Liars! I don't understand what's wrong with the police. They would rather allow a gang of armed robbers escape instead of one Yahoo boy to go free. That's how I was at the salon a couple of years ago in warri and a young boy rammed his car into an uncomplicated building hitting 2 people in the process while running from the police. The yeye policemen just turned their car around and zoomed off without even checking to make sure nobody was hurt. Yahoo boys are like highness to some policemen😏

  7. Why are they lying,a close friend of mine witnessed it, when coming back from church yesterday..
According to her it started at the effurun roundabout, the Yahoo boys cars were about 5 in number, when the boys refused to part with the sum of money the police men asked from them..
They jumped into their car in pretence of bringing the money and zoomed off..
The police men jumped into their own Van and pursued them..
When they saw what they have done, they came down from their van and escaped...
