Senator Daisy Danjuma's Ex Husband Dies.

Mr. Henry Omenai, the first husband of Senator Daisy Danjuma, has died in a nursing home in England.

Mr Omenai was involved in a plane crash in 1994 while on an official trip from Lagos to Abuja with some of his other colleagues and this left him in a vegetative state until his death in December 2020.

Prior to the crash, He was a director and head of Human resources in Shell.

He was married to Daisy for over 10 years and they were blessed with 4 children until their separation in the early 90s (4 years before the crash) when she moved on to T.Y Danjuma and had a daughter with him.

He was 50 years old as at the time of the crash in 1994.

RIP to him.

  3. I remember him. Nice guy too.
I remember the day they left from the then North wing building. Driver parked right outside. He waved and got in the car. My younger sister’s boyfriend was also on that flight. He was also an SPDC staff. Was injured and upon recovery and return to work, asked me why we didn’t come see him in the hospital. He was upset at my sister. What he didn’t know was that when he left forth at trip, my sister got ill and died. She had already been laid to rest. He just couldn’t understand the tragedy.

  6. I did not know he was still alive. He was our first black GM. He was a good leader. That crash was terrible. This life. Upon all the money he made in Shell. All we struggle for daily is nothing but vanity. Lord, please continue to give us good health and life.

    2. I heard about the late Mr Omenai in 1988 when SPDC celebrated its golden jubilee anniversary and some junior members of staff complained about his advice to management on the commemorative gifts to them. I admired his courage and leadership acumen.
May his soul continue to rest in peace.

  9. Stella stop defending rubbish cos she's a woman...he has the plane crash in 94 and u still said they separated in the early 90s(4yrs) b4 the crash...we know the true story...she dumped him for danjuma after he became incapacitated due to the crash... she met danjuma during one of her trips to London...trip sponsored by the incapacitated husband...stop defending women as if they are harmless, they are as evil and manipulative and greedy

    2. Not a matter of feared but a terrible person.

    3. Your imagination sucks, am sorry to say. Late Henry visited me in London late 1991, he was still at the Shell Hq in Watrrloo London S/E, and then the couple were already separated long before the unfortunate plane crash that rendered him hospitalised.Best to exercise discretion on matters you have no link to know. Your comments, as fake as can be, exposes you sadly.

    1. Senator Daisy that is enjoying her life. Abeg talk something else.
The man must have died alone in a care home.
I will rather my children send me back to Nigeria that for me to live in a care home. I worked in a care home upon my arrival abroad 15 years ago and it is well with residents, they pay so much but get little. I remember some stupid whites will say I spend too much time caring for this vulnerable people.
I enjoyed caring for people but not a job for me.

    2. Daisy that has long found comfort in the arms of Danjuma.

You mean God comfort the children she had with the deceased?

    3. Daisy ke? Do the children remember too 😏. Someone that has been abandoned in a care home tey tey. Must have been in end of care life and died alone without seeing any relative with this Pandemic issue. Such a shame.
He must have been a good man with all said about him.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

  13. Finally he is free. What a state to be locked into for 30 yrs. My God, that is suffering, and for so long. Just one singular moment can change the course of your life. Thanks be to God he is free at last.

  14. RIP sir....Nigerians and their judgmental mentality. even when they have no facts about anyone they must find fault and spew lies. i remember well some people saying she abandoned this man because he had an accident when those who know knew they had gone separate ways years before that.

  20. See how the hurriedly wrote "the accident happened 4yrs after Daisy left her husband"
    Big fat lie.
I was very close to the family, like neatly close.
Daisy abandoned her injured hubby for his elder sister. who happened to be a new widow that time.
Daisy was just busy painting everywhere she went tomato colour. Threw caution to the wind.
    Very wicked woman.
She used to be a news caster at the then NTA Benin.
Good for you Daisy, at least you can control the news.

    1. wicked lies form you. sadly you cant even say when the accident happened and when they separated because you know the truth. in Africa a woman must be used anyhow. she is separated from a man but she must still be used as a slave to that man even when they are separated. which abandoned for elder sister...a marriage you have moved on from after some years is it possible to move in and start caring for the man full time? lets be practical in this life and stop being too judgmental and heaping lies on people. she had kids with him so? is the elder sister not his family?

  21. Daisy did him wrong! Hope he forgave her b4 death

  22. I doubt if he was a good man, ask those that worked in Shell at that time. He was the only voice in the Shell hierarchy that went against buying Jetta executive for the senior staff.

Abandon his own brother (who was an HR top gun at Oil company) to die at UCH without ever visiting (meanwhile he got him the Shell job).

He was the one that made a law in Shell that, your salary will be stopped if you are incapacitated for 6 months, so Shell workers were eagerly counting down 178, 179, 180 and reminding management of the law.

Doubt if he ever treated Daisy well, locking her out at will at their residence in Ikoyi (the roundabout close to Gerrard Road). Was said to have cried seriously when when she visited him at London hospital.

  24. The evil that women do to men will wait for them after they die,,women have been betraying men from the days of the Bible until now, daisy danjuma looks so innocent but these stories about her are worrisome,I hope it’s not true,be careful with women guys, don’t sacrifice too much for women as well.
